Compared to some of the absolutely vile posters (like Scream) that Mondo has put out, it's very tame:

Yes, but it's a little bit more realistic, don't you think?  I don't mind blood ala Shining, but this is too real for me.  Okay, yes, she can lift the seal, but it's kinda gross.  Sorry guys, I'm on my Bardot trip...

And Bardot...  would be offended.

:)
When he told me he enjoyed it, I told him if he wanted to really impress to give Lang's M a go.
He picked up the DVD looked it over, wide eyed...then said..."hey it's not even in English!"

Baby steps I keep telling myself, baby steps...

At least he took the advice to the point of looking at the DVD case!

He's in for a real treat if he takes the advice further...he even gets to read

Is there a way to tell from the image, Paul? Or is it more the dimensions and the (probably deliberate) lack of detail?

Reprint - the poster is under-sized and there do not appear to be any printers' credits.

Just playing devils advocate here... but aren't quad reprints usually either a) cropped to US paper size (27x40) or b) correct ratio, but smaller paper (27x36)?

I thought it was interesting to note that one bidder has a huge feedback score,he might just have been taking a gamble as its so cheap.
I also wondered if the measurements taken are when it is framed?,the frame seems to obscure any printers credits..I too am just commenting..if the consensus is that its fake, you guys are most probably right.

Bargain? Or Reprint?

The feedback of the seller (which is 0) and the fact they're only selling a couple items that aren't posters, I'd have shied away from that one.  Not saying he's dishonest, maybe he just doesn't know.  I always shy away from new ebay sellers unless they've got a pretty big inventory that looks legit.

£430 for the Ferris Bueller UK Bus Stop, it seems to be getting pretty high prices consistently now. If only i had room to hang something that huge!

Well, I recently bought the French 1P which is similar in size for a lot less.  It seems to be going for under $100 consistently.  I actually am planning on hanging it, and will post details once I have it all worked out.

because it is the most commonly sold version of this image

And because the text is in French.  Still the same image, though.

yes that also, but the main reason IS that it is the most common poster with the image
there is almost always one for sale. If there was always a UK bus shelter or international 1sh available, the price would drop like a brick

availability is the #1 key to this issue

That Stanwyck looks to be in amazing condition - like only unfolded a few times since 1934!  (Although I do notice some small pin holes...)

gee Mel, that auction ended 4 days ago. what took so long

Chris.. they are selling a collection that was compiled by a studio executive who worked from the 1930s until the 1970s. There is supposed to be several filing cabinets full and the material that they've been selling for about 8 months now has been spectacular

I might also mention I believe hisgoods4u is another ebay seller who is selling a similar type collection

Actually thought that one would end up going higher since it was in such nice shape and a great image on Stanwyck.

I see...

Now tell me again why I don't ever stumble upon collections of former studio executives?  Oh that's right - my name isn't Matt ;)
