Just thought I would share this.  Me and my dad found this and some others at an old man's house in south Texas in 2006/2007.  I put it on eBay way back when I didn't know much about older posters (during my Paltrow collecting days).  I've been trying to find these pictures for quite some time and ran across them this morning.  I think it sold for $120 or something. Man I wish I would have been as knowledgeable as I am now.  Enjoy! Check out the snipe on the back...

Really good Charlie, thanks for posting. I love that snipe on the back,  the poster must have been used in conjunction with the 16mm rental circuit.

I think the snipe is better than the insert!

I'd say Niagara or the 7 Year Itch are the best Marilyn posters...

This is a pretty cool Marilyn poster.  Ended at just over $1250 this morning.

Another Ferris Bueller zoomed to $705 at the end (this is second copy this seller has sold, she told me it was a separate poster):

Recent BAT sales, price varies dramatically based on quality:

Anybody on here get the DC, I was watching it, but it jumped a couple hundred past what I wanted to pay as it came to an end.

As discussed on MOPO today, Elizabeth Taylor's personal copies of Butterfield 8 and Cat On A Hot Tin Room sold for sky-high prices - way beyond the estimates!

I hope she licked them and covered them with vaginal fluid, because 10 years from today, no one will know she owned them.  Ri-di-cu-lous!

EXACTLY!

Although I don't think I would ever want them if that were the case (maybe when she was much younger)

One of them has a personal message, presumably from Taylor, which drove up the price.

Of course, the real action was in the diamond sales - $115,000,000....

Yup - I had a similar experience to that when tryong to buy the Premiere brochure to Thunderball from someone whose family member had worked on the production.

I wondered the same.

Is it autographed? No.

Does it come complete with a photograph showing him being handed it?  No.

Then why are you asking such a ridiculously high sum other than you don't really want to part with it??

I truly don't understand the recent BAT prices, the $13K one really threw me just insane IMHO. I was watching the one at Bruce's and figured that it may have scared off a few so was in the hunt for the one at Heritage but pulled out a few bucks or so before the final bid - that said, if the person who won it really wanted it then he would have kept going and taken all of us out I am sure. Maybe he was the $13K buyer and is now trying to lower the average price of his stock?!

Not strictly post auction, post purchase maybe, wandering to my local corner shop before Chrimbo I noticed the house clearance shop 50 metres away from my front door had this in the window...

It's gone now but I was amused to see it in there!
