I'm not a violent person, but I want to murder the person who came up with "free listing day/week"!  My search went from like 3 pages of results to 72 pages  pctrash

I love it! So much stuff will just fall through the cracks. I'm talking deep discounts all freaking week!

Yes Charlie, I'm sure plenty of deals will fall through the cracks now... as Rich said you'll only have time to find them if you literally have all week to search.

Speaking of which, did you ever get my text, or PM, or email about this?

If there's one thing I've learned on APF - there is little respect amongst most collectors

I think that even though we have a "family" type atmosphere .. Most of us would not post links to anything we want to buy publicly .. We may PM a few members that we trust but that would be all .. And its not always to keep it away from other members but the "visitors" that lurk ..

Hmmm I think there's great atmosphere on here and I've met (metaphorically) loads of quality people... on the 'posting links for things we want to buy publicly' isn't that just common sense!? On the interweb and in the real world it'd be stupid to mention something (elusive) you wanted that you hadn't already bought... wudn't it? On the other hand if there's loads of them why not?

i love this place, you get the odd person who will pinch somthing, but in general if someone wants something, there are alot od people who go out of there way to help you to find you what your looking for, look @ T and brude for example, both went out of there way to help me get my top 2 wants...

couldnt thank them enough to be honest.

True .. but that kind of goes back to what Dale was talking about .. We may say this is a tight nit forum .. and we look out for one another .. but if another "Roads" poster popped up for $200 .. I bet nearly everyone would buy it up themselves instead of telling someone else about it .. and then either keep it or resell it, INCLUDING the people that have multiple copies already .. But if we were a real "family" we'd hang back and let those who dont have a copy get a chance at one at a great price .. If we were as close as we say we are we could post up sought after posters .. that and we still have the lurkers to worry about :P

A tale of two listings...two pre-oscar quads for Star Wars ending on the same day, but with £300 difference in the final outcome. Guess it was a combo of an inferior listing and the low feedback seller 2 had. Good for buyer 2 though if all works out!

I was under bidder on the cheap one, I'd emailed the fellow asking a few questions, and got rubbish answers, so only bid low.  His feedback of 1, and being registered for 3 years was also a put off. The fellow who won it only had 7 feedbacks!!! Seems odd...
