There are 60 of the Wolverine (with the same art as the normal release with thousands printed), there are 6 of the potter. Never be in the same ballpark price wise or state for that matter.

Quite agree. A year or two ago I predicted that the Prisoner of Azkaban lenticular would be a $10,000 poster in 10 years time. It certainly seems to be heading in that direction.

Just thinking out loud and wondering.... what made this quad go from a $21.00 poster in 2012, to a $430.00 poster at the end of 2016? What drives this kind of price jump? Is it nothing more than 2 people that REALLY want it?

it's still a $21 poster

I was going to make this remark, but I wasn't sure what the # was (I thought it was 10, but I wasn't certain)

it's still a $21 poster

At $460, that's a lot of coin to be paying to see Bill Murray sitting in a bathrobe.  ;D

Or one too many  verydrunk.gif or  imbecile.gif

One in even better condition (also never folded & described as "very good to fine") sold in December of 2014 for a mere $28 bucks!

Looks like someone got a real deal here, back in the day.

This US OS of The Lady Vanishes (1938) (on linen), sold for $9350.00 in 1992:

But then on Jan 1, 1997, someone snagged an unbacked copy for all of $10.00 ?!?!  faint2.gif

well it is obviously the same photo, and would have to be an incorrectly filled template, most likely relating to a modern era title but where there was only skeletal data for the ebay sale to be entered into the current sales database. I can understand how errors of this nature occur and I'm sure they'll find the correct data, if available.

I went to that result and clicked on the date of 1/1/97.  The date seemed kind of suspicious.  There is an odd assortment of all sorts of poster formats folded, rolled, inserts, lobbies, etc, claimed to be sold on that date.  A majority don't have images.  None have condition noted.

You need to ask Bruce, but I think you found the Alan Smithee of his database.  Where he put stuff from the eBay period that couldn't be reconciled.

With that, I am not too confident of the bargain

Thanks for one possible explanation, Rich, as it seems that a definitive response/explanation, from the original source, will, once again, not be forthcoming.  eyeroll

Why? Silence gives no information.

I've have asked any number of questions about various topics over the years and ALL have received no reply. Not only is that rude but it's been waste of my time, sorry to say. Others have also been met with zipped lips, too.
