Wow, I'm actually quite surprised this one sold for so little.  Quite rare, and for my money, one of the best modern posters out there.  Someone got a bargain.

I agree T, was contemplating bidding more for an inventory item. Think the last one that sold was in the 1500 neighborhood on the forum here.

I was wondering when somebody was going to bring this one up...seems like an over pay by a mile... are these actually hard to find?

Look at the history.  Two Star Wars completists beating up on each other.

Funny you should say that.  I own a couple and my greedy self was contemplating the same.  I had no price reference but I was thinking $2k would be fair, based on rarity and quality.  But then I was like - I'll never sell, why should I be stuck with three?  Someone got lucky.

A handful of questionable lobby cards just sold on eBay....the condition is very similar on all of the cards....great sci-fi titles....stored away since dad passed...wondering what people think on the possibility that they are real...Would love to hear Sean's thoughts....

Looks to me like a world record price for Dave Graveen repros, but what do I know?
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.

There were some cool original pieces and posters from Tiber Helenyi on auction recently.   They were from Budapest Poster Gallery on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/usr/budapestposter

You can see them in the completed listings, as surprisingly none sold.  A rare occasion when all of the lots get zero bids.

Who is Posterchild?  I usually don't pay attention to names, but I do recall seeing him before.

For what really is a $15 poster.

You're right, a little crazy.

Is it my imagination, or is Dave actually getting a lot more money for his gear than Bruce and Heritage?  Seems like it, no?

most certainly more than the one venue and probably more on these than the other.

some auctions in really only get a 'best price ever' on something under 1% of their items sold, but Dave killed it across the board last night and he's got more ending tonight that is also poised to knock over some stones.

thanks everyone :)

yes I am posterchild. I thought the username was funny.

Bruce is the no reserve auction king. I've actually sent him a bunch of stuff over the past few years and I'm very happy with his results. I've bought so many collections over the years that I would never have the time to list everything. Every year I auction at no reserve probably less than 1% of what he does. No Reserve Auctions have become a pain in the ass so I've been doing much less of them lately. 99% of my sales are fixed price items and about 70% of those are directly from cinemasterpieces.com, 20% from ebay, and about 10% on Amazon (those are rough estimates).

Sometimes my no reserve auctions do better than Bruce and Heritage, and sometimes they don't. But I definitely get much higher prices for the same items when I sell them at a fixed price.

I think ebay's audience of bidders is much larger than Bruce/Heritage's. Maybe that is why our auction results this time have been so good.

I also experimented with facebook advertising for the first time to promote the auctions. Maybe this helped, maybe it didn't. Impossible to say.

$186 for a planes trains and automobiles. I am not one to judge, but I think that must have some sentimental value to at least two people. Actually, it makes more sense that it became a pissing contest. BTW, "bespoils your sister" is really haunting, well played Rich.

An amazing price secured for a sporting still that was sold on a film and entertainment platform.

Not sure I would think of going to an 'esportsposter.com' for my Bond scores.
