House of Frankenstein linen backed AU daybill--

Sold for $645.00 a few days ago.  'Tis a nice looking piece, even tho the imagery is mixed up, since it is from both Ghost of Frankenstein (the C/U of Chaney, Jr as the Monster) & Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman (Lugosi's double carrying the damsel)

A 1977 German Kenner Toy Brochure - $2300.00   jawdrop

http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=4188456

I know what you mean. I did a sort by price after it was all said and done and had to do a double and then triple take on it.

Personally I don't collect things like this so can only assume it is something extremely rare. Without the two man bidding war though it would have only run up to $255. Any serious toy collectors out there know more?

That's what can make this or any auction both fun and interesting to watch - once the war has begun. And with extended bidding, the sky's the limit (or the empty wallet).

True, but considering he's a drunk in the movie it seems more representative than the US 1-sheet, which always reminded me more of a romance novel cover or perhaps the inspiration for the 60s Gone with the Wind art!

Considering I already own one I am quite happy it sold for so much  ;)

It's been framed on my wall since it was purchased!  I had a pic, but sadly my old image host imageshack appears to have switched to subscription model and deleted all my pictures in the process.  NOT a good way to convince me to sign up for your service!!!

This Metropolis item came and went on the bay, a little while ago, with no takers (the opening bid was $1600.00).

A very cool and colorfully designed slide and it looks like it was produced and used in the UK. I bet projected on the big screen, it looked/looks incredible.  bed1

Nice shot there, HC.  The tumbler of alkeehaul is a nice touch.

Looks like you have some interesting features in your home.  Was the entire wall in that space originally all brick?

Glad you like our 'truth wall'  :)

We fixed up an old Victorian house from 1912, but worked in some more modern elements. What you are seeing is the back side of one of our six fireplaces.  No one doing a Victorian remodel would ever dream of leaving something like that visible, but we are also downtown loft lovers too! I just wish the finished brick ran the full length of the wall so we could have left more visible.

Six fireplaces?  Wow.  I reckon them folks back in the old days didn't have fancy heaters.

A few years ago, I stayed in a hotel that is about the age of your home, and the room I was in has a similar concept, but it's definitely not something you see every day.

Very cool. cool1

To be fair, they are (6) coal fireplaces that are all sealed up and non-functioning -- beautiful tile work tho.  What I wouldn't give for one good size wood fireplace in this big old house!

Cobblers.

2006, all posters were already full bleed.  Specific to Bond posters, they had been full bleed since 1995.

https://movieposters.ha.com/itm/movie-posters/james-bond/the-world-is-not-enough-mgm-1999-poster-52-x-74-special-advance-style/a/7125-86932.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013

The above links to a poster from 1999.  No mention of Full bleed.  Indeed the only reason for bringing this up is because it is the first time (in my area of interest) that I have seen this terminology used to advertise a modern poster.  It would be like advertising, "And it's also 27x41!!'

Another one from HA.

Casino Royale (Columbia, 1967). Australian Post-War Daybill (13" X 30"). James Bond.

http://movieposters.ha.com/itm/casino-royale-columbia-1967-australian-post-war-daybill-13-x-30-james-bond/p/161618-11001.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

A Casino Royale '67 Daybill which also lists it as post war!

Bearing in mind we are to assume it is the 2nd World War they refer to, and that this finished in '45, what is the point of mentioning that the '67 poster is post war??  As an exercise in redundancy, it comes second only to mentioning that this poster comes printed on paper.

Unless I am missing something??

A Jaws 2 Quad - 1978 sold for £ 107.55 on eBay.  . A friend of mine was outbid today. His max was £65 . No idea how much these are really worth and if he was just pushing his luck

It's my favorite Jaws 2 poster.  The red title over white really works, imo.  I don't buy fair/good, so I would have passed.  I paid the same price but for a mint copy.  What's wrong with this one?
