Am I missing something here, or is this a result of Hype for the upcoming Star Wars installment? I ask because not six months ago I picked up a copy for $50 if I remember correctly, and the condition is better.

See I think I paid $50 if I remember correctly... 2 weeks ago one sold for like $225 in better condition. They can have mine for $200, I will buy another one off ebay and buy some more 80's stuff!

works both ways, I see some stuff sell for peanuts on emovie, that on ebay would go better. 70's Euro trash stuff I am interested in for example.
But he gets good bucks for the more popular modern (calling SW etc modern here) stuff for sure.

In particular, the missing gaps in the trees and the 40.25 vertical inches.

Good to know. I never knew that repros were made longer than originals, on the vertical length.

I think you might have misread. The repros are the shortest at 40.25", whereas legits are 41", 40.5" or 40.375".
The first vertical measurement pic in the listing was a little ambiguous, but I think the second is clear cut.
Also, if you look at particular gaps in the tree, they just don't match what's on the original.

I was also going on the description the seller gives, listing this poster as measuring a full 27x41 inches.
