Shit, it's like impossible to win anything these days :(  I think people have way too much money.

This one made me laugh...  I usually bid on my iphone because I'm outside and always within the last 5 minutes.  I go thru the auctions that morning because I don't to let myself get too excited about something.  Excitement = more money spent.  So here I am thinking that I'm going to get the cards for $20-$30, you know, basically what they're worth, and then I see this...

$3877 for Maria Felix....

I hope the poster looks in real life like the poster in the photo, not some more typically washed out image on decaying paper!

I think emovie's images are all pretty accurately lit, white balanced and photographed.

With no color/contrast "tampering" added to the mix.  ;)

I was so excited when I saw that poster in the auction!  I was ready to bid high, but not that high crying

I'll just have to hope this result brings some more copies out of the woodwork.

It was up for sale in a bargain bin for $20 but not now. It didn't look that great anyway.

I thought you might have gone for it. Very sorry to read you didnt get it..

I think this poster is worth every penny. It is an important poster for many reasons. It is the equivalent of having the best  Wayne poster for The Searchers, and I mean Searchers because what  Ethan did for J Wayne,  Doņa Diabla did for Maria Felix - she became La Doņa.  It is an incredibly good film and she was a damn good actress.

Auction houses never reveal the consignors' and bidders' information, unless there is a special circumstance.  In this case, Bruce wrote a few weeks ago, about Dwight Cleveland, who consigned a vast amount of stuff at eMovie.  The above article is referring to Mr. Cleveland's consigned collection.
From eMovieposter.com:
This consignor is Dwight Cleveland...
http://www.dwightclevelandposterarchive.com/
Some of the best individual posters (85) were suppose to be sold through Heritage March 23, 2012 I think ...but made it into different auctions around that time....some did not sell...like the Horse Feathers 3 sheet...which is an extremely rare poster...and had too high of a reserve...I think the Chaplin good for nothing poster Bruce just sold was in that auction too
I'm guessing he is keeping some of the rarest and most valuable posters...we still haven't seen the IHON one sheet, or the Italian Casablanca come to auction....or the Birth of a Nation OS with the klansman on horseback..his Keaton The General poster....wizard of oz insert....czech King Kong
He claimed to have 35,000 total for sale a few years ago for over $3 million...and if Bruce "only" got 20,000... There still some great stuff waiting in the wings....there are pics online of some of his "keepers"
Between Morrie and Dwight....this is a crazy year to get a chance to buy posters that have been locked up in private collections for decades

Thanks for the info.
I guess if you've consigned items to Bruce be prepared as they might only get auctioned much later in 2015.  Which bites, but at least in the meantime you'll get an opportunity to pic up some quality material.

This one is a couple of weeks old but still thought the SW crowd would be interested. HA sold a Return of the Jedi Style B flat folded for $358 w/bp which is amazing to me personally as it is not a rare poster and is easy to find rolled. If it was at least an NSS copy which is far rarer maybe I could see two going at it but it was a studio style. Very clean copy according to HA which I am sure helped some. Guess I should sell some of my rolled ones and ask $750 for them.  >:D

I wouldn't mention that you have multiple of a desired poster if you don't intend to sell ;)  I did it once a long time ago and got 20 pms in a day.  So I don't do it anymore.  But maybe you do want to sell.

Thanks for the point though not too worried about Jedi B's, not that much interest I would think. Of course I could always change my post if it wasn't quoted for future generations to read.  ;D

No intention to sell any. Although I admit if someone really was willing to shell out $750 I would change my mind.
