This guy had/has UK (?) video posters for Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Beyond Thunderdome, that didn't sell.

They're in frames, and listed as "collection in person only" in the UK.  I sent an email asking if he/she would remove them from the frames and ship them to the US, but he/she didn't reply.  Looks like they may be a little faded, especially Mad Max, although it could be that the colors are different for the video and theater versions, or maybe it's just un-boosted colors, bad lighting, etc.  Anyway, they're pretty cool, IMO.

Cool tagline on the one for Mad Max.  Instead of the UK theater poster's "...pray that he's out there somewhere" this one is "pray that the tape's still here ."  8)

It seems that most people put the video versions' value at less (in many cases significantly less) than their theater counterparts.  Although these are pretty darn rare, and of course very cool titles and artwork, they don't appear to be in great condition, so the starting prices were a little high IMO.  The fact that he/she didn't offer delivery also would limit the number of bidders, and possibly the final price, of course.

I have a handful of video release OS here... and since the art/design is basically the same as the theatrical OS, with the added "Coming soon to video" or something similar at the bottom or top. It is interesting, too, and I agree, how they are viewed as less valued ... i guess it might be the video stigma? or that its a later printing, often of a OS, with that added info? Dunno for sure, tho. Perception, too, might come into play.

I like the ones I have... and are twins, basically, to the theatricals.  ;)

No different that everyone around here arguing about NSS markings on Star wars or BTTF, or which Warner logo is on the bottom.

The red works.

And the same image was used, in reference, a while back, too, (but I think it was spelled Veruga).  ;D

Super awesome, I love this poster.

When looking at the the first and second place "winners" in HA's auction this weekend, it is amazing to realize that there was a $412,275.00 difference between first and second place -- with number 2 being the awesome, French 4P for King Kong, that went for $65,725.00

Hey pokerplayr.....didn't realize you had joined.  And do not worry about causing angst.  I am pretty sure I may or may not have done the same with some of my antics in the past.  My favorite is to run one up to 4 figures using minimum bid increments ;D....  Anyway, enough about douchebaggery, what kind of poker do you play and where?
Schan
Thanks.  You know what you did.
