Anyone knows when the results will be online ?

Indeed, I found the estimates a bit high... so that's why seeing results will be useful !!

Thanks

Coys last Auction results posting was from August.  Basically, half the lower estimate was attined.

There is another Dr No quad available in Bonhams UK which may be more realistic.

Cheers.

I just heard from Adrian Cowdry at Coys that some items did not sell - they did not meet the reserve price (including the Casa WC  which is still up for grabs)  :-\

Was watching this to see where it goes as it is one of my favorite Disney posters. Was this a good price, bad price, steal?

I don't know, but seems OK to me, not a title I follow, but considering I got $1K for the daybill about 14 years ago (to a dealer), seems reasonable to me.
But again, I really don't know.

Nor should you be.  Could not predict this result but who knows it may have been your copy (if John got his hands on it somehow)?

Spanish Fantasia

I think the attraction to this Spanish poster is that it uses the same artwork as the style B 1-sheet that sells for $15-20K!  The Spanish text on it is minimal and subtle making it a pretty cheap alternative.

And by the way, if anyone wants one I have another copy already on linen -- better condition too!   ;)

Another great piece I was watching but not planning on bidding on, giving a little more credence to the idea that Uni horro is indeed coming down, a 52R Realart half sheet for Dracula at just over $1500.00.

Seems that auction was ended by that seller for some reason... the same one/same seller has posted it again:

'51 Realart Dracula Half Sheet

And is this another?? Or is it the same HS from the same seller, listed on a 3 day sale? Im not sure since both are separate listings....  dontknow.gif

Seriously, why does what two or three other people who choose to bid back-and-forth on a poster, for which you apparently did not have a stake, cause you such angst?

Angst? Not really, if you are happy with what you paid for your poster that is all that matters.

This being a post auction thread, I think this stands out to me as a poster going for a ton more than I would have anticipated, despite its rarity factor.

There are several posters that get much more than anyone would pay. This is just one of those, for me personally.

Seen quite a few "cant believe that went that high" the past couple months, noticing a couple "newer" bidders have been throwing a lot of cash at items, just need to wait till they get the collection rolling to bring the prices back in or move to another hobby :)

This post doesn't make sense to me at all.

Obviously, it didn't get 'much more than anyone would pay' since at least 2 people were bidding it up.

The other statement I think translates to "a ton more than I would have paid for it" which is your right.  That applies to me for lots of posters, but I don't think poorly about those who value a poster more highly than I do, or who have resources beyond mine.

Very true.  "Patience, grasshopper.  A better one will be along soon." seems to be a tough lesson to teach newcomers.
