I'm happy to have picked up this French 1p for a Jim Jarmusch festival to add to the advertising collection:

Anybody get anything in the Emovie Major Auction 2?  I wanted the Blonde Sinner but $370 was just too much for me.  The MWTGG linen-backed went for $535, a little more than I paid for a non-LB.

Mel, I see your tastes becoming more and more refined.  Bravo ;)  That Blonde Sinner is a stunner, too bad you didn't get it...I am sure a non-backed one can be had cheaper.

Anybody else notice that Heritage has sold a bucketload of Mysterians (both on Heritage and Ebay) over the last few months - several dozen I believe - very odd to have that many copies of a 50 year old poster - they must have found a stash of them:

Yeah, I bought one, they obviously have not learned you do not post 8 of the same title if you want to stretch the bid on something. There is no other competition on the title, so they are shooting themselves in the foot, but I dont care, makes for some cheap posters for me.

There are a few like that, and many seem to be serials: Dick Tracy, Zombies Of The Stratosphere, etc.

I am just barely into my second year of collecting posters. I think I have learned a great deal and feel pretty confident in what I am doing but....wow ....some of the bidding I see on emovie and heritage always threatens to set me back a few months  :P

*I am not saying that I have never placed some interesting bids.  8)

Lost out on the exquisite two-panel Italian Lady Frankenstein (right) tonight on Ebay.  Funny how the US one sheet (left) is totally different (but has some kooky charm).

It's possible the kooky charm derives from the subliminally large "package" the monster carries with him.

Shades of "Maniac."

Mel... preferring an artistic-Italian over a standard US 1-sheet... I'm shocked!  Your conversion is almost complete!

I can't wait to see what you start unearthing after you fully renounce your old photoshopped-head ways... ;)

Got this Zombie Walks Italian one panel as a "consolation prize" - although it's arguably just as as good as Lady Frankenstein:

P.S. Yes, Peter, I didn't notice "that goes without saying" that Frankenstein "vould have an enormous schwanzstucker!" (Young Frankenstein)

I got my Bardot for less.   ;)

I'm wondering if the buyer did not read Bruce's disclaimer and thought he was getting an original.  That's the only explanation, really.

Either that, or the buyer is Jaws1975's brother.

No one could miss that disclaimer unless they were blind.  It's in block capital red letters.  It must be Jaws's bro, or maybe it's Anti-Jaws1975 who spends much on little.
