The Godzilla photo is dreadful! This is called the "keystone effect", where one end gets distorted because it was shot on an angle. Obviously, this poster should be shot straight on, but failing that it should have been shot with the top at the bottom, so that the image area was enlarged and the credit area reduced.

I have that portal, but it is in somewhat worse shape and folded. I guess I should have it linenbacked and restored - it seems it is now worth more than many genuine posters that I have had backed!  eyeroll

Too bad it wasn't consigned to eMovie eh?

I think it's really a pretty smokin' 3 sheet... It must look amazing in person!

Sean, was $3800.00 a good price (a good deal, I mean) for the Godzilla 3sh?

It is a cool poster, I like that style better than the other one as the monster art is an entire sheet and the title is the other, whereas on the other style 3-sheet the separation cuts Godzilla's head off.  Back when I had a small apartment and little space I hung just the brown title section up by itself.

Price seems about FMV to me, but I haven't really price one in a while.

Not really. I would think I would have gotten somewhere in the same ballpark, and the eBay commission is lower than mine, so this seller may well have received more. I tell a fair number of potential consignors that I think they are better off making an eBay auction with a high buy it now. It just depends on the item.

Rich's there's no "sic" needed.  This was in direct response to Bruce's comments on the poor quality of the photo

I feel bad about the winning bidder on this one. A smaller sized repro of the CFTBL one sheet art... yet described as a WC. Someone spent $255.00 for this. UGH! I even wrote this seller a few days ago, verifying the size.. and told her this wasn't a WC from the film. No reply was received back, of course.  :-\

This seller has had many repros listed as original WC's.  However, there have been some legitimate original WC's mixed amongst the repros (like two Lon Chaney Sr.'s)...

I thought this was an excellent steal. A fantastic poster on HA for $215.10
It is rather interesting. It seems Spanish but printer is Italian.
Rio Grande R-50 Italian Foglio. On linen.

The printer's test version is very nice... but I suspect the Twin Tower Premium had something to do with it
