After settling in at around a going rate of $500-700, HA sells the Avatar lenticular advance tonight for LOOT.

I hope the underbidder sees this post. He/she can buy mine for their bid.

The HA sale was an anomaly, the "real" price is around $500:

I know who bought the one off eBay. He owns two Avatar lenticulars and a bunch of other lenticulars. That is all he collects.

Yep, some high prices for some of these rare and unusual large posters:

Apparently the bidders jumped the gun and started the "major" auction a few days early!

I do love the art on some of these 3 & 6 sheets but really what are the chances they will ever be displayed?  Obviously a bit more for a 3 sheet but those 6 sheets are likely to just be folded up and filed away which is a shame...

Some bidders have exquisite taste in posters:

I tried, Bruce.  I even went above my set price on this one.  I blame this forum and the people who post active auctions just because they don't want to bid on them.  Maybe I should just shut down the whole damn thing.

Actually, Bruce this almost had the feel of a superior auction set - definitely a 'warm-up to the major' auction for sure...  Lots of candy in that shop to resist.

I agree. I have been telling the consignors that often posters do even BETTER in the "regular" auctions (because they have less high dollar items to compete with) and this set of auctions proved that.

But this set of posters were so cool (and there were so many good ones) that they would have done well no matter what. Being at eMoviePoster.com was just the icing on the cake!

Those top bidders (with a very few exceptions) are not here. You know we have a great PR machine that makes sure all bidders know of the auctions, forums or no (so don't shut 'er down!). And we get a ton of "word of mouth" bidders from recommendations from happy customers.

They don't have to be on here to still check it out.  I know of a few collectors with million $ collections who check the forum even if they don't participate.
