Dorothy looks ill (and no not "ill" as in "fresh" as in "radical" as in "bodacious")

Yes indeed she has been to plastic surgeon for sure.

I think this was the bargain of the day..$657...A Capra's film, Walter Brennan..Cooper and Stanwyck...rolled... and it went for a very good price.
Meet John Doe (Warner Brothers, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41").

The only problem with that piece is that it is a Re-release, but was not identified as such.

From our Auction History:

"There is a re-release of this poster [Meet John Doe one-sheet] that has been mistakenly sold as a 1941 original, including by us (of course, once we discovered it, we immediately notified the people who purchased it from us incorrectly described, and offered to give them a complete refund, even though years have passed)! The reason that re-release is confused with this original is because it was likely printed from the same plates, except the small writing on the bottom was removed and only a "Lithographed in U.S.A." is on the bottom of the re-release. Also, the re-release has brighter colors than that of the original poster."

Thanks Shaun and Bruce...

And... Well, well, well, well. I didn't know that this was a later Re-release, it  does NOT say so in HA description. I wonder if the new owner knows?  This will P'd me......off big time...BIG TIME...

Nope. No LBd. According to HA (quote): The poster has slight edge wear, two tears in the upper border, and clear tape in the upper and lower borders. Rolled.

So it was certainly a good catch... :)

Well spotted, Rosa. A rolled copy and not backed. A fine catch indeed, even for a later RR!

Yowza, I consigned this and expected it to go for $10 at most. Go crazy Emovie bidders!

Now THAT is one ugly poster.

I do have a few that are as bad and worse but yeah it is not even close to pretty. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

Looks like eBay fixed that all around.  I typically used eBay Italy to find the best offer sold price. Doesn't work there anymore either.  Leave it to eBay...  moron1

Yeah seems to have been filtered on all eBay sites now.

One way to at least get an idea of what it sold for is to do a sold listings search sorted high/low to see where it falls amongst other items - not exact but it gives you a fairly close range.  Although we can't see it, this search still places the item based on the Best Offer price acceptance...
