This US OS for Munster Go Home sold for $377.00 today.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUNSTER-GO-HOME-CINEMASTERPIECES-THE-MUNSTERS-MOVIE-POSTER1966-HORROR-COMEDY-/360623876341?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=VOPMNTs0cmFSTAS7QpmoSEnSBuI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

What makes this interesting is that this is also the same seller that sold that fake Monet painting that was discussed on the board a couple days ago. In looking at his other recent sales, he also sold what he claimed is a signed oil painting by Joan Miro. Crude in execution and it just looks all wrong. And it also has no "certication." Yet someone still shucked out $380.00 for it.  :P

And an awesome one sheet for "Historia de Crimenes" that, luckily, nobody outed. Hell yeah!

Matias, i know.

He also has/had some cool looking, original lobby cards, as well.. but he was selling other things, too, like watches, clocks etc.

So why get involved in selling people known fake oil paintings? Seems an oddball mix.

All about the $$$.  eyeroll

The infamous tloce sold an unrestored Forbidden Planet US OS, on April 3rd, for a best of offer of $4200.00 (+ $5.00 shipping  ;) )

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORBIDDEN-PLANET-ORIG-27X41-ONE-SHEET-MOVIE-POSTER-1956-SCI-FI-CLASSIC-ROBOT-/310640648752?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4853a02230

Per his description, sounds like it needs some "love and TLC":

"POSTER HAS 8 LIGHT TAPE STAINS IN WHITE BORDER - THIS IS RESIDUE LEFT FROM TAPE , NOT ACTUAL TAPE ON THE BORDERS . THERE ARE ALSO 2 ACTUAL PIECES OF TAPE ON THE FRONT OF UPPER PART OF POSTER - ONE ABOVE THE "B" IN THE TITLE , THE OTHER ABOVE THE "A" IN THE TITLE. EACH PIECE OF TAPE IS APPROXIMATELY 2" IN LENGTH . THERE IS A SMALL TEAR ABOUT 2" IN LENGTH AT TOP BORDER WHICH SLIGHTLY GOES INTO GREEN AREA ABOVE "MGM" . SLIGHT BLEED THROUGH IN UPPER BORDER OF SMALL STAMPING ON BACK OF POSTER - APPROXIMATELY 2" X 1" . VERY SLIGHT SEPARATION AT UPPER FOLD - SMALLER THAN THE HEAD OF AN ERASER .OTHER THAN THESE IMPERFECTIONS THE POSTER IS IN SHARP CONDITION , PAPER IS SUPPLE , FOLDS ARE VERY LIGHT AND COLORS ARE BRIGHT."

Funny, the pro-ignorance forces won't stop crying about AuctionZip being "revealed" to this forum, even though every dealer and many collectors already knew about it.  Maybe they should spend more time actually looking for bargains instead of blubbering on. This linen-backed Yellow Submarine Italian two panel - yes that's a ginormous 55"x78" - sold for a mere $322 last night.  You buy a hanger from PosterHanger.com for $50, hang it up, and you've got a fantastic conversation piece.  I was stupid stupid not to bid, but I just have bought too much lately:

This used to be a solid $3000-$3500 piece and I know of at least one copy that sold for $5000.
The post-Haggard depression continues.

For sure.

And when one considers it was listed initially, for $2300.00, and had no takers.   8)

Rosa, it was a great price at $2300 and a gift at $1800. It's a tough poster to find and it was priced in the $1800 range 15 years ago. The Haggard scandal has definitely taken a toll on Uni-horror, not just because people are afraid of the stuff and don't have the information, but because a number of Uni-horror collectors have been stung and aren't buying the same way now. A poster like this, unbacked, for which there is no doubt it is authentic, should not have had such a price drop, especially not from a trusted seller. It's a perfect example of how the Haggard scandal continues to hurt the hobby, presuming people are paying attention and recognizing that this is a result of that fraud.

You're probably right Rich on the price. However I think you're only paying for the "UNIVERSAL - Mummy"-tag. I honestly can't see why anyone would like to pay $1800 for a cheaply made, unrefined piece of paper from 1951. You could buy so many much nicer posters for that money. In regards to rarity, that strikes me as odd. Why would a Realart re-release be rare? They probably printed a lot of lot, didn't they?

Maybe if some people spent more time looking for a girlfriend than stupidly buying too many posters they would have someone to discuss a 'conversation piece' with?   :-*
