HA made $605,500 based on a 35% rate (BP + CF)...  Wish I could fuck people that well.

Ow! ........ ;D

Did I mention that I am not a fan of the bp.

Wish everyone consigned with Bruce.  8)

Im in my fourth year as a newb but I can still spot a bullshit dealer.

Easy to spot, Z (as well as the foul, fetid stench that precedes it).    puke

I know it's fun to slag on Heritage, but it's not like they're hiding their enormous schlong.  The fucking should not be a surprise.  The BP is a real pain in the ass because now that they've got a location in Kollyforniah I'm also stuck with a 10% sales tax (I know you UKers are all "Ten percent?  Boo hoo!"), so all my bids have to factor in a 30% reduction which makes me completely uncompetitive.

Still, their huge 'nads attract paper most of us would never even see, so I don't begrudge them making a living.

I agree with Peter.. nothing is hidden and so there is no foul. I sold some stuff in the auction myself and am thrilled with the results which even after the BP & sellers fee is involved is likely still more than I would have gotten if I had consigned my items elsewhere and not by a small margin.

I've consigned with eMovie, HA and MPB and I've been happy with all three.  I have some fixed price stuff listed with MPE, but I haven't tried consigning for auction yet... but I would definitely try them without hesitation as well.  We should be thankful we have so many different buying/selling options outside eBay!

And I will continue to buy from whomever has the item I want and I can get it at the price I am prepared to pay and usually that is on the bottom line of the invoice not halfway up it.

Same here, except for any characters in Las Vegas  ;).  Everyone in Vegas is trying to sell you something or take your money, and they are ALWAYS working some kind of angle.

I was watching both of those repros... just to see if anyone was duped.  Ugh.  Sadly, all that does is sour people on the hobby...

So true..and that's just one of my reasons NOT to buy on eBay. I know most of you do, I rather  uhno

You will end up buying on the Bay, it's fine as long as you know your stuff. There's still a few bargains to be had...

And for many of the genres and time periods you like, fakes or reproductions are not nearly as much of an issue.
