40x60 BAT = $10,000 (one sheet sold for $5500)

.....To be honest.... I have seen this one so many times.. it doesn't appeal to me at all...

I will just buy a print and save 10K..

Damn Wim, that is beautiful.
One of my favorite films.
 cheers

+1, except for having seen the film.  Great taste for a poster pre-1980.   ;D

Well I am done - bye bye HA Live.

I was done when they snubbed me on the catalog. Though I could have been enticed if one of my Top 5's had been in the auction in excellent shape.  They had a bday SW but it was not in top shape to deserve the HA premium.

...realizing over the last few HA auctions I'm slowly drifting to the back of the catalog more and more.   Most items in the auctions today were a little out of my comfort zone considering condition.  There were a few that slipped by  - $650 + BP for a VF Night/Living Dead not too bad.

I received the 'you were high bid' message on HA Live on a Vertigo 1/2 only to realize a late bid came in that then restarted the auction.

Liked this French Monroe piece but 1800 is a bit much...odd but something about the turquoise font that makes this one appealing.

Once you get married, you die a little... All I have left is Audrey, Grace, Liz, Lana, Natalie, Gwyn, CZJ, Nicole, Emily, well basically any woman that I can convince my wife I will never have a chance with.  The dead ones are easy...   laugh1  Yeah Charlie - uhno  not funny...

Dracula fell way short of where I thought that one would end at.

Have to agree here - someone got a relative bargain in my opinion

LB Godzilla for $4.4K, not too smart considering it usually sells for much less and you can find a near-perfect unbacked copy on Ebay for less.

[INSPIRED BY REAL LIFE POSTS]

I continue to amaze myself that I won this Motor Madness three sheet for less than what they usually sell for.

Very thankful that the previous winning bidder or under bidder didn't chase this up too high!!

THIS VICTORY PROVES YET AGAIN THAT I AM THE WORLD’S GREATEST MOVIE POSTER BUYER!

Mel

************

Congratulations Mel. It sure fits into your collection!

Bruce

P.S.  JUST LOOKED OVER THE 999 ITEMS ENDING TONIGHT AND - FOR THE 598TH AUCTION IN A ROW - I SAW LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS. THE ONLY THING I CAN FIGURE IS THAT PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY STUPID! DON'T BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE!

************

Cool but of course the daybill is vastly superior.

"Crayon King" Matt

************

Good catch. Of course, I bought this same poster for $7 from an obscure garage sale in Timbuktu and flipped it on Cinemasterpieces for $1,200 a month later. Just thought you should know that ;D

Harry Caul

************

Meh. I don’t see Audrey on that poster.

Charlie

************

Great poster. Of course if the liberal elite take over this country, it will be illegal to drive anything other than golf carts.  See this article on [link to nutjob website].

Ted

*************

This post is yet another example of Mel's out-of-control ego!!!

Adam

P.S. Some of you may think this is a joke! It is not a joke!
