My heart is racing from the last minute bidding frenzy on emovie, scored a set of 4 daybills. I don't even like daybills

Final price of $320.00 paid for this 1950s re-release daybill, with a good size hole cut ("trimmed") in it where the ratings info used to be.

Does this seem high, considering the damage and it also being a RR?:

http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=2874171

And this beautiful Richardson Studio first release, for So Evil My Love, from 1948, went for less-- $223.00

Its what makes collecting fun.. One never knows how something will sell or end up.  ;)

Yes Z, or when worried about impending bankruptcy.

Bruce describes this as simply trimmed which sounds less severe!

I didn't write "trimmed" but was there ONE person on the face of the Earth (or other planets) who misunderstood this:

"The circular rating area at right has been trimmed from the poster."

Especially when they were looking at this image:

And just in case the above wasn't enough, they could doublecheck it here:

How do you know it was trimmed?
Maybe it was a giant paper punch.
Or a fastidious moth.

"The circular rating area at right has been trimmed from the poster."

The better word may be defaced! Well, I think it is great for those who may require a poster to be positioned over a light switch.

How am I to know if it's safe to display the poster without a rating circle?!

That's great, but seriously, what in the world made this so desirable? There were a bunch of bidders too!
