Very rare "no ratings box" Style A poster sold for $1,500 tonight on Emovie - not sure if this is an international or not:

Looks so much better without the ratings box.

Haven't seen that Star Wars poster before. Looks pretty hammered but still a very cool piece.

There are some pretty bad ass posters out there. Granted this isn't the best one of them but it is still a nice piece. Especially for a SW nut.

I never bought this poster because I have a problem forking out this much money for a poster that ugly.  It is one of the few examples where hype is everything.  It is rare, it is Star Wars, it is expensive.  But it is and will always be atrocious.

I posted it because if its condition. Whether you like it or not, the Birthday Cake posters are worth $1K+. So how much would you pay for this in its current condition?

In its current condition I would have a hard time spending $50 bucks on it. Just because I would need a lot of TLC.

So?  Figure $300 to back and restore it.  If you got it for that price, you could make a healthy profit.

Personally I don't buy anything I don't love and want to keep (and that has been very little of late) so I wouldn't bother.

I have one. I've put it in a frame a few times. It's the closet right now.

This is the very reason why I never buy linenbacked posters and why I let my Beauty and the Beast go.  You never know what you get.  Dario and co. and such masters that they can make anything look like new.  Well, I'm still a purist, I like to know what I buy before I buy it.

Well, I own a lot of animation posters, Madagascar and others.  I like animation, my wife works in animation, I have no shame owning animation posters.
