Apologies in advance, as this poster and subsequent discussion could have gone in the Eastwood thread, Unicorn thread, or in a Valuation section, but I feel this covers all those bases, at least at this point. If any mod feels it should be merged in any of the above places, that is definitely fine for sure, just thought I would cast a big enough net to garner some info.
Hoping to get some insight on this one, because I feel I may have an especially rare Eastwood piece, who knows. Before some pics, here is the regular and international one sheets for Magnum Force, for reference:
Now, I have another version of this poster which I was hoping to get some info on from you fine folks. (Yes, it is on linen). Here are some pics:
You will notice the peach/orange color that is similar to the international one sheet.
The text of "is Dirty Harry in" is a funky polka-dotted design and Clint's name is aligned differently.
The clause of "(TO BE DISPLAYED ON YOUR PREMISES ONLY)" at the bottom center:
Those are the main differences I see at first and second glances, when compared to the regular OS, outside of the obvious border and credit text differences.
I have talked to several folks in the know about it, most haven't even heard of it, yet alone seen it.
I had a great conversation with Dave at Cinemasterpieces about it on the phone the other day, and he hadn't seen it before, either.
However, I have heard from one long-time collector who said it wasn't supposed to leave the studio/printer as it was an earlier version of the poster that was withdrawn and obviously was leaked at some point.
Anyone seen this before or have any info on this? Thanks in advance.
