... It may well have turned into a scandalous night!!!  ;)

I think if it goes good with this lady, Mel, then I do believe just a few of your posters will be taken down over time to appease her.

And you will be forced to give them away to us on a first come first serve basis.

Since I took the trouble of getting out the camera and shooting my inserts, I figured I may as well go ahead and take a few more of the home theater.

Please be gentle.  The theater is definitely a work in progress and probably won't be done for a couple of more years.  My goal is to do small projects so that the overall theater stays functional and we can go down and watch a movie whenever we choose, about twice a week.

My posters in the theater tend to be different than most.  I am looking for striking images and a look and feel of classic cinema.  I just mounted the three sheet today.  It replaced a Kiss Me Kate that has hung too many years already.  It was also so painful to get it mounted correctly that this one may remain framed until I die.  Hopefully, I will get it back on the wall next weekend.

BTW, the blues are a lot darker than they show in the pictures.  The ceiling and screen wall are nearly black and the side walls are about 3 tones lighter.

That's a real beauty of half sheets.  22x28 is a standard frame size and you can get them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby for under $20/frame if you shop their sales.  And then, the posters themselves usually go dirt cheap compared to the 1 sheet.  You get to display more of them to boot.  A triple deal.

I've owned this one forever, like 1995.  Finally decided it was being wasted sitting in a box, so I brought it out and called Sue today to get a custom frame for a '50s vintage Danish poster.

The most recent girlie to venture into my cave - ignoring all the posters - did say "great bookshelves!"

So I got that going for me....  :)

I wonder if her love of your bookshelves had anything to do with the magic pixie dust floating around the room!

Alas, "bookshelf blondie" was apparently immune to the pixie dust and long ago disappeared.  That fruit was too tricky to pluck!

Tested out the magnetic wall in my new office (I am not sure what to call it) with magnets you can hang stuff up so it isn't exactly magnetic.  Worked like a charm.  My Italian order came in yesterday...

Cool setup, Ari.  Can't say I've ever seen any of that gear.  Must be rare, which increases the coolness of them even more IMO.

Really dig the "offal cell of hell," Ari. A dandy place to recuperate.
Nice touch hanging the IV bag and PICC lines in front of ol' Louis.
That PORTRAIT OF JENNIE daybill reminds me that I need to revisit that classic soon.
Get well fast, Ari!
 cheers

haha yeah I snagged opne of my IV bags from my last visit to hospital, they think I am jnuts, but its fun, I want to make a floor lamp/IV Drip stand one day and fill it with either glow in the dark green goo or fake blood.

Portrait of Jeannie is AWESOME, I watched it with my dad just before I came back to Sydney, its really kinda distrurbing in the early parts of the film. The R1 DVD is superb (with the colour finale - I'd never seen before).

Please note these posters that are LAMINARTED I didnt do, they were like that, but I love them regardless.
