Jeremiah Johnson (1972) International(?) Poster

Hello all,

I’m not really a poster collector, but I was recently gifted a poster from my favorite movie, Jeremiah Johnson. My brother saw it at an estate sale, and was able to get it for $5.

From the little I’ve been able to find online, it appears to possibly be an “international” poster, but apparently it’s rare that it has a rating on it?

I would like to hear anything you all have to say about it. I know absolutely nothing.

It looks like that poster is known as the blue style. There is an international version without the ratings box and also a US version with the ratings box. eMoviePoster.com has eight sales of the international version and just one of the version with ratings. Although rare, the version with the ratings box sold for $53.00 in 2016. Ha.com has one record of the blue poster with the ratings box, and it sold for $15.00.

This is a rare Domestic version of the Blue style, someone is currently trying to sell a lessor quality one on Ebay for $720 but it's hard to say what price it will eventually sell for. If you like it I would just enjoy it and thank your brother who got a great deal.

Thank you so much for the information! So would this poster have been used for advertising in a theater? Or did it serve some other purpose?

I plan on keeping it forever, but it’s still nice to know what it could possibly be worth so thanks for letting me know!

It was produced by the NSS for the purpose of advertising the movie at cinemas/theaters

International Style. Don't mean to shatter anyone retirement plans but this is a $150 poster max on the best day for a great copy. More like $30-$50...
