Museum POSTER Storage Boxes
« on: July 12, 2016, 02:29:44 AM »
Hello,

I've reached the point where i need to start thinking about good storage for my posters. I found these boxes, Museum POSTER Storage Boxes. I was thinking about getting two of these, one for posters that were rolled and another for posters that were folded. I would add acid free tissue between each poster. I want to put some sort on foam board at the bottom of the Museum box to act as a buffer between the posters and the box so no imprint would be pressed into the posters due to the texture of the box assuming there is one. Can someone direct me to a foam board that would achieve my goal and giver me a better solution?

Any ideas appreciated.
Most of my collecting interests are focussed around horror films of the late 70s to 80s.

Hey Darian,

You cant go wrong with either of these products. The choice to add a piece of foam core on the bottom of the box would be up to you, as I cant imagine an "imprint" would happen unless the stack of posters was left in the box that had a seam or ridge, for a VERY long period of time.. perhaps years.

If you are buying the acid free tissue, then any foam core (acid free or not) could be used as that bottom, protective sheet.

One example of acid free foam core available:
