Introduction and wanted list
« on: September 13, 2015, 05:11:47 PM »
Hi all

I'm new to the forum but by looking at the posts you all are true collectors. I've collected posters For many years and have been saving for a while now for some rarer items for my collection. I mainly collect James Bond UK quads but if it's rare I try and buy it.

Although I am in contact with many dealers across the world these posters have been hard to find, especially in the UK. I know cinemasterpieces have a few of these however if anyone has any links to any of these posters if they could private message me that would be amazing.

Goldfinger Irish quad
Dr no French petite
LA confidential Canadian
Matrix "lightning"
Apocalypse now helicopters Japan
Apocalypse now German one sheet
Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus UK one sheet
Harry Potter have you seen this wizard one sheet lenticular
Ferris bueller UK one sheet
Thunderball teaser quad

Thanks for all your help
If you need a link to a poster let me know
Paul

Hi Paul, welcome to APF. I'm also new from last week here and it's very cool, more than I expect in fact  ;D.

I will write you a private message right now for your wish list ... I own one L.A. confidential like your are looking for and another title that might interest you.

Welcome Paul,

Most if not all of those posters have been discussed here at some time.  Many are near unicorns and you would need to fight half the members tooth and nail if a copy shows up :)

Good luck on the hunt.

I just spoke to a gentleman who told me he sent Bruce a Canadian L.A. Confidential last month. So if you watch for it there it will show up sooner or later! The photos of it look good too.

BTW  welcome1 and good luck with your list! Someone already mentioned it, but you might have a fight on your hands for most of these.

Oh, one more thing.  Some of the images are more available for less if you are flexible on country and size.  For example, that Ferris Bueller International 1 sheet comes up about once a year and usually goes over $1k.  I picked up a French 1p with the same image for under $100.  It is available in German, Italian and other languages as well.  Only that one English language 1 sh is expensive.

Sounds like Paul wants these specific posters because of their rarity not necessarily the imagery...

Agreed.  I was being polite.  I just wish someone would come along and help puff up some of the stuff I own :)

thanks for all the welcomes guys. I admit i am a collector of rarity rather than poster images. isnt that the same as most collecting, toys, art, stamps etc. however all the posters on my list have an amazing image. I have the money waiting and a good few links already thanks to the people who have messaged.

if anything comes up let me know and if you need anything let me know.

It's nice to have more scarce items, but that's not why I collect. I collect for the love of Film, and Cinema, hence some of my stuff is common, and as dull as you can get. I prefer the good artwork images, but that's not what it's all about..   Stay tuned for the best website on British posters, to find out why. Coming to a computer near you soon.... ;)

 welcome1 aboard, W04.

That is a heckuva wanted list.  With a little patience, they will surely appear, and there may be good bidding battles.   pcorn

Good luck on your quest.

By the way, Which German Apocalypse Now version are you looking for?  I have this rad A1 from Germany.

Lots of reprints of that one around right?  Or are they reissues?  It was discussed at some point...

That's the one.i know it's not that rare and I can get one from a few reputable dealers at around the £800 mark but I think that's top price. has anyone seen the posters on that neugo website. I've been waiting for it to go live for a long time but nothing! I've emailed loads of times but no answer.
