Hellraiser (1987)

JP B2

Dang, the posters for this movie scared me away from seeing it originally.  I still haven't seen it.  Too scary!  Now I can't un-see it, Jeff!  You sneak attacked me in the Japanese poster thread.  My sleepless night tonight is on your pin cushion head!   Arghhhhh.    Okie

Okie, its scary and whats so good about it is that all the special FX are physically created FX, and no CGI.

Hellraiser 2 I think is almost scarier than the first (and certain scenes in HRII come to mind, that I wont detail here).  devil 2

A B2 for Rasen (1998) [aka The Spiral]

This was the first sequel to The Ring, and was released in JP at the same time as The Ring.

In the US, it went straight to video and never got a theatrical release.

Just bought this Yog: Monster from Space Japanese B2 from Bruce's major auction.  I'm not sure how rare it really is, though looks like it is the first one EMP has sold; and, I also couldn't find where Heritage has sold it before.  I was surprised on both accounts. I was glad to get it to compliment the Thai version I also have for Yog!  Looking forward to hearing everyone's rarity thoughts.  Okie

Neat pickup here, Okie. It's a fun feeling to find something that hasnt been offered before, too and the reasons why a particular poster might be more allusive. Is it because of lower print runs for certain (more modern) movies? Whatever the reason for this particular B2's seeming scarcity, congrats again on the win.  clap clap

Not that rare.
The film is not so popular among Japanese collectors and I reckon it didn't do too well at the box office during its release so the posters show up once in a while but less than other titles from that period.

Thanks for the help, Armin!  I was also talking to Crowzilla about the poster and he said it showed up now and then as well.  I really appreciate you guys helping me out.  It's sure a crazy looking kaiju party poster!  Okie

So it sounds like you snagged a more uncommon creature, after all, Okie. And its name is Yog!  >:D

Hi Jeff, I'm going to try something I haven't done before and attempt to post a link here to the APF Thai poster thread where I posted it awhile back. I hope this works! http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,10875.msg230147.html#msg230147

Haven't seen a B1 but the DVD release posters have the same images as the B1s you linked to and there is a Keira Knightley image as part of the DVD posters.  So "assuming" consistency, there is probably a B1 theatrical poster out there somewhere.

Just got this Charlie & the Chocolate Factory poster from Japan. It was listed as a B0, which it it is. I wondered if there was a larger size than B0 as this poster has no credits of film company logos. So I was wondering if there was another section to this poster, maybe a 1A as the reverse does have some text. Any insights appreciated.

Don't know about that Skyjackers. It looks like there could be a bottom half but not sure - have you asked the seller for clarification? They should know surely.

Thought I'd stick my toe in the Japanese poster genre. Finally had time to do some photography, a few of my first finds, all B2s...

Do I detect a beautiful woman theme in your Japanese posters, Dr. Bill?  Or, is it just coincidence?  Okie
