Very cool to see how his technique and style changed a bit over the course of 30+ years.

Not a big fan of Mr. Belinsky, so I usually pass on most of his stuff.  Here are 3 from my collection that I actually like...

Beat the Devil (1953)

Pane, Amore e Fantasia (Bread, Love and Dreams) (1953)

Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)

I've always loved the vibrant color of Belinsky's '62RR Creature.

It's almost like day-glo in some spots!   thumbsup.gif

Very cool and interesting to see, too, how Belinsky's signature changed, over the years.

The Man Who Lived Twice (1936) - Columbia Pictures (French)

Hey Jerome,

Here's a C. Belinksy from 1936 that I have that you might enjoy seeing. The movie is a crime/thriller.

It's not a French 1P size but measures approx 37x50 inches. I had it de-acidified, washed and linen backed because it was so brittle along the fold lines, along with the paper being so acidic, that I was worried it would begin to split apart. Other than backing it, no retouching was done.

Ive also not come across another copy of this, since I bought it about 14 years ago, so I think stabilizing this copy was the right thing to do.

Ah, and there I was, saying in Jerome's thread, that I had not heard of Belinsky...

Seems I don't read / remember everything on these boards.  Hmm.

Hi Jerome, I still haven't seen the movie. And I need to see if it's available on DVD.

I agree. The colors are very intense.

Moment of Danger (1960)

Belinsky's initials are above the WB logo to the right.

I see what you mean, Okie. I took the pic directly over the poster, so I think there was a little glare bouncing back, too. I should have taken it on more of a slight angle.
