Thank you all! I would like to see some of the other interviews. I will have to pick up a copy of the book when it comes out.

Crazy Vick Is there someone in particular you had in mind?

No one in particular, just a "posters in action" thing.  It would add more to the person's story, rather than just jpegs or their posters.  Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I see! We could put together a calendar for the fun of it! Haha
Ari embraces his Swan, T admiring Beiber......it could be pics of all the "elite" with their posters!

bed1 I think it would put all those puppy and firefighter calendars to shame!

I could embrace my favourite Mexican Lobby Card, however, I believe I would then get mocked and my photo abused

I would love to post more interviews in Scoop. If you are interested, email me at samanda@gemstonepub.com. We can use images of your poster, or images of you with your posters.

As for the book, we got it in a little early. So, you can officially order and have it shipped today! Just go to http://gemstonepub.com/-the-overstreet-guide-to-collecting-movie-posters

I sincerely hope movie poster collectors enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Hopefully *fingers crossed* I can write a second edition in a few years. There's plenty left to cover!

Thanks Charlie.

I got my copy today too, (thank you, Amanda) and I had no idea that write-up was going to be in there. It was a complete and total surprise and your post here made me look, as I hadn't even opened it yet!

And I see you are 'published' now too. Congrats.  thumbsup.gif

Zowie!  You guys are IN the book. Fantastic!  And what a quick turn around from writing to printing. I'll maybe get a copy as well--after the holidays. Let me know how it is. Cheers!

I'm glad you guys got your copies and are digging the book! I hope everyone who buys it has as much fun reading it as I did writing it. I already have a list of subjects I want to cover in a follow-up a few years down the road.

We have plenty of copies and will go back to print for a second round if the initial print run sells out.

In the meantime, I interviewed Sean Linkenback for Scoop. We talked about Godzilla and comics, in addition to movie posters. I'm hoping to post another poster collector interview in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Here's a link to the current interview:

I hate to be critical, but there weren't enough pics of Linkenback's legendary collection.
