And here is my favorite May acquisition (so far).  Sadly, the missus vetoed my idea to put this one up on the wall.

La Carne Manda (1948)

Haha, shame though, it is rather stunning!

Well it only took me four years to find one but I've managed to get another of my personal holy grails for my collection. Niagara Belgium:

Roll, roll, roll, Rollergirl!!!

Exactly! It's so frustrating wanting a specific poster and it hardly ever appears for sale (or on the rare occasion it does it just happens to be the month when you have no money) This beaut popped up on a website and I was straight in. Had just been paid three months wages from a client who was overdue so it was fate.

Now if only I can find a Paris Je T'aime Japanese, An Italian 4 foglio of Vivre sa Vie and a decent looking Bedazzled Quad (Peter Cook/Dudley Moore version) I'll be happy for life!

Congrats here, too, Gemma, on your recent acquisition.

Good luck to both Paul and Gemma finding that Quad, if it is the one I think it is - by Tom Chantrell, then it is really one worth waiting for, will let you know if I happen to see one :)

Yeah the only Bedazzled Quads I find need too much restoration for my liking. I'll snag one, one day :-*

What incredible scores so early on in the month! Those Swedes in particular are after my heart.

I'm most smitten with:

Words and Music, 1929

Deco, Swedish, Eric Rohman - tatted around the edges but everything I look for in a poster

More of my May Mexican madness...  This one had been on my want-list for a while.  It has some tears but the paper is almost all there.

More new acquisitions by the fabulous Jose Espert.

Bel Ami (1947) -- I like the tagline on this one "La historia de un canalla" ("the story of a scoundrel")

Rio Escondido (1948)

Amar es Vivir (1946)

First off, congrats to all for the awesome pickups so far this month! Keep 'em coming!

Was going to post my latest acquisitions since Oct 2014, but that didn't seem right. Instead I'll shamelessly plug my thread (Mike's Little World) and you can see all my latest goodies there. thumbsup.gif

Now this one just arrived in the mail today and I'm super excited to get it. Kind of a unicorn for me. Didn't see any on HA and only 2 copies on EMP, 1 of them linen (blech! j/k).
qip !Behold! qip

Finally, picked this little piece up today. As the saying goes, shit just got real!  ;D

Ten drawer architect flat file cabinet. Measures 40" high, 40" deep and 52-1/2" wide. Should be able to fit everything but the bus shelters and banners in there. thumbup

Beautiful flat file!  Shit is indeed real  :)

My flat file is very similar, except mine has six drawers instead of ten.  I remember when I got it thinking how I would be able to store a lifetime's worth of posters in it.  Of course now it's nearing capacity...

All that to say, your flat file looks great and cherish your ten drawers.  Great Neverending Story poster too!

Thanks, Deke! I'm hoping 10 drawers is enough (for now). :)

Nice flat file, Mike. Love that it's wood, too, rather than metal (a personal pref).

"Mike's Little World" finally got its own home!!

YAY!

Awesome looking cabinet, for sure.

 cheers

Here it is with sticker Paul. I guess it's to add the writing without ruining any walls. The flash of the camera is highlighting the sheen and there are a few major wrinkles with the application, but you get the idea.
