Thanks Jeff,

Lighting whilst taking a photo definitely makes a world of difference, not to mention how
vibrant the blue's look just by turning the flash on or off...

Hopefully I will have a better setup in a few years with which to take photos of all of my
posters that do them justice. A website is planned although at the moment that takes time
to plan which I do not currently have to spare, unfortunately!

A new addition that arrived today...

A rare poster for the Reichswettkämpfe der SA Berlin 13-15 August 1937.
by von Axster-Heudtlass.

Basically a sports event poster for the SA (Sturmabteilung) Brownshirts.

I have seen the postcards for this one for sale numerous times but never the poster until I found this one.

SIZE = 84 x 59cm

.

I have a few other new additions in transit and will post once they arrive.

Congrats on finding this, Christian, and being able to add it to your collection.

Did you get this from a seller in Europe somewhere?

Hi Jeff,

Many thanks!

Yes it came from a private collector in Germany who was selling several
posters, this being the only one of interest to me.

Cheers,

Christian

Here is another new arrival which I took to my linen backing and conservation people yesterday.

The photo is in their studio so apologies for the poor lighting as it was a dark and dreary day.
This photo does not do it justice as the wings have a wonderful gold colouring to them that reflects the light.
See post #190 of this thread to see the other larger 2-sheet poster which I have also since had linen backed.

I already have this poster in a larger two-sheet version and when I saw this one I had to have it also.

It is a smaller version although still quite large in its own right.

SIZE = 84 x 122cm

Another beauty by Mjölnir...!!!

Mit unseren Fahnen ist der Sieg!

With out flag(s) is the Victory!

Realised just now the typo above.... it is not 'out flags' but rather 'our flags'..

With our flag(s) is the Victory!

I like the eagle art design on this one, Christian. The added, gold ink must really make it stand out, too.

Powerful, to say the least.

It really does...!

The trouble is that unless you take a photo with a flash or have very bright lights overhead, you cannot see the amazing
contrast of the gold to do it justice with a photo.

Here are some images of before and after linen backing of the larger 2-sheet version I have which does give you a better
idea of the gold colouring.....

Two new arrivals that I picked up from the post office yesterday...!!!

This beauty is by the Italian artist, Giulio Bertoletti.

E TU.... COSA FAI ?  -  AND YOU .... WHAT DO YOU DO?

The second is a banner recruitment poster for the Italian SS Legion.

Whilst not as visually interesting as the artists posters, these text based posters
are nonetheless highly desirable and quite scarce.

SIZE = 70 x 25cm

Is that the artist's signature or initials under the question mark?

I picked up this nice vintage Mercedes poster at auction over the weekend.

Approx. A4 size, so a small poster but a nice pre-war one to have.

Original vintage racing poster promoting the victory by Mercedes-Benz in the Deutsche Alpenfahrt / German Alpine Race won by SS Obersturmfuhrer Lucas
in his Mercedes Type 230.
