STEVE: You are ALIVE! Ha! It figures you'd dig the VAMPYRES and SATAN'S CHEERLEADERS posters. Hee hee hee! Same ol' Steve. Nice to see ya!

TOB: Thank you for the visit. I'm glad you especially like the A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD poster. That is a super thrill for me to find. Alas, I am sorry...but I have no idea what movie that gif you asked about comes from.

First time looking through this thread.

Just from a quick browse it's clear you have one hell of a collection GoGo, very impressed with the number of posters you own but also the variety in posters, awesome collection notworthy.gif

Hi John,

Thank you for perusing my thread. I have a LOT of posters--but don't be so impressed. A lot of my collection is trash...and I know it. I have some good stuff, but the bulk is crap (HERBIE GOES BANANAS, for example). Ha! But I appreciate you looking through it all and leaving a note. Come back again any time.

redman: Zowie!  An image search? I had no idea such a thing was possible. (I also had no idea they made a sequel to the HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL remake either)
 Thanks!

Crap? Herbie Goes Bananas?!  Man, I loved those Herbie movies when they came out, Monster.  We need more love bugs.   Okie

Hey Okie!  Ugh... I have to get in the shower and get ready for work. Happy daylight savings time hour loss. BLAH!!  I only saw the first 2 HERBIE movies. We need more Love Bugs? I don't know if HERBIE would fly in this day and age. The reboot a few years back with what's-her-name (Lindsey Lohan) bombed. Maybe today's "Love Bug" movies would have to be something like HERPES GOES BANANAS? Or maybe Herbie and Christine can have an evil automotive love child in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 86: CRUISIN' FOR BLOOD.  Ignore me... blame it on sleep deprivation. UGH. Off to shower and a 12-hour day on the hospital floors. O' the joy...

I like your creative Love Bug thinkin', Monster!  I bet if a new Herbie movie was a vehicle (pun only slightly intended) for Herbie rather than one for an actor/actress/ensemble, Herbie might have a chance at being great.   Interestingly, the 2005 Herbie movie is listed as almost tripling its original investment. That surprised me, too! Okie

The box office surprised me. I looked into it further. That $144 was worldwide.  It only made $60million here. On a $55 million budget, despite doing overall okay Internationaly,  that is no hit.

Hi there. Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. The last time we met, I announced that I was stepping back from poster shopping for a while---and was actually planning to weed out my collection and send stuff off to auction, as I was getting into dire financial straits. Then the coronavirus situation happened. Crap. Selling things is on hold. Because I am a nurse and will probably have to deal with the virus directly in the very near future, I decided to go ahead and prep the next Shock-O-Rama Poster Show (even though there isn't much in it) in case I get sick. I am older, with underlying health issues and male...in other words, I fit the profile of 70% of those who have died so far. Yep, I'm SCREWED.

Is this my swan song? I certainly hope NOT. It's not the best example to go out on. We will have to wait and see (but if I never post again--um--you'll know why...).

Let's take a look and see what (CRAP) I have today...

WHO IS KILLING THE GREAT CHEFS OF EUROPE:

This was part of a lot of posters all containing the word "Who" in the title. It is a dull poster and I am sure I have another copy somewhere. This is not even a shot of the actual poster---just one to fill the void for now. The auction house didn't bother to take a photo of it---that's how unexciting this poster is. Oh well.

WHO SLEW AUNTIE ROO?:

I have a copy of this already. Shelly Winters, Mark Lester, Ralph Richardson and Lionel Jeffries star in this forgettable early 70s horror.

WHO KILLED TEDDY BEAR?:

Sal Mineo and Juliet Prowse star in this flick (and poster). I've never seen the flick (I can't find it) but have heard good things about it. Any good?  (Never mind. Found a bootleg DVD place online that has it and I've given it an order...)

HALLOWEEN (2007 remake):

This (and the 2 below) were at auction and I scored them for $1 (with a $19 buyer's premium, of course). I was NO FAN of the Rob Zombie HALLOWEEN flicks, but I do have to say that the poster for the 2007 HALLOWEEN was nicely done.  I have one already...but why not a cheap extra copy? Why not indeed.

HALLOWEEN 2 (2009 remake teaser):

I disliked the HALLOWEEN remake, but the HALLOWEEN 2 remake was beyond awful. What the hell was with that ghost horse???  HUH???  Whatever...

HALLOWEEN 2 (2009 remake advance):

This is the reason I bought the three HALLOWEEN poster lot. NOT that I liked the movie (HATED IT), but although I am sure I have the other style of poster for this sequel, I am NOT sure I had this style. I do now. DONE.

HOUSE OF EXORCISM:

I love my EXORCIST ripoffs. My fave would be BEYOND THE DOOR, probably...but this one is a close 2nd. Mario Bava is uncredited as the director because his film, LISA AND THE DEVIL, (although it is a nifty film as it is) was deemed unreleasable. It taken back, re-tooled, had some new exorcism crap added in and a different ending added on and voila...HOUSE OF EXORCISM. Telly Savalas walks around with a lollipop as a creepy butler. Elke Sommer goes full on Linda Blair and vomits up frogs. Robert Alda (Alan's dad) is the exorcist. It's very Italian/European, but also very different. I have one of these posters already...but this one went for only $1 (plus the $19 buyer's premium). Zowie! Why buy it? Was it the power of Christ compelling me or did the devil make me do it? Either way, I am happy to have yet another copy.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Advance):

Did I need this? It was just affordable, so...into the future resell pile it goes. (Hmm... How long before the newer STAR WARS titles start to get pricey? Or will they?) Eh... probably wasted the cash on this one. Oh well...

BLOODBATH AT THE HOUSE OF DEATH (Australian daybill):

I had never heard of this flick before stumbling on to this daybill. Vincent Price stars (or perhaps it is just a glorified cameo?). I appreciate the double meaning in the tag line: "The movie that took a lot of guts to make." Clever... I can't seem to find a release of it over here though. Hmm.

S.O.S. TIDAL WAVE:

I am most excited about this poster. As a big disaster movie fan, I was delighted to finally snag a copy of the one sheet for this 1939 flick. It is actually available on BluRay and I just got a copy, so hopefully I'll get to watch it very soon. I'm NOT expecting much, but am still thrilled I'll get to see it.

That is all I have this time.

I hope you are all healthy and that you can avoid COVID 19 like, well... avoid it like the plague.

Stay safe. Social distance. WASH YOUR HANDS. Stay ALIVE.

Tob, thank you for visiting.  The posters this time were not much. I wasn't "into it" this time as I was holding back from buying for the most part. Everything here i got really, really cheap (well, the SOS TIDAL WAVE wasn't cheap, but it wasn't crazy expensive either and I "needed" it).

Hi Monster!  That's got to be the scariest image of Telly Savalas I've ever seen and that includes all of the scenes of him getting massages, baby! Stick a lollipop in Elke and then off to self isolate in the Player's Club!  Okie

Greetings! Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. I really have no money right now and have no business buying anything. However, my birthday was coming up (It's TODAY, actually). As I will spend this birthday alone, trapped in my house with the world held hostage by the coronavirus outbreak, I thought I'd buy myself a few little tidbits and make it a somewhat fun birthday party for one. (And to think, last year I was celebrating in Rome! Ha!)  Oh well. It is what it is...and I'm NOT dead (yet). So, whoo hoo  and happy birthday to me. Let's unwrap my poster presents and see what exciting (or not so exciting...) things I got myself...

CHARLIE'S ANGELS (2019 reboot International version):

UGH!!! Buying this was a total accident. Sure, although I was NOT a fan of the 2019 reboot of CHARLIE'S ANGELS (it had potential, but...), I loved the original series as a kid, I loved the first reboot with Drew Barrymore (the sequel---eh...), and I actually liked the short-lived remake series that was on 3 or 4 years ago. I did bid on this. As an ANGELS fan in general, I thought it would be nice to have (and is better than the version I scored a while back). So how was buying this an accident if I bid on it? I'll tell you... My computer (desktop) has that auto fill feature, which is sometimes great and sometimes a disaster. I meant to bid $13 at the very most (expecting it to go less than $10 really). When I later checked my bids to see what I was winning, what I was losing and what my top bid amount was, I was startled to see that instead of $13 for CHARLIE'S ANGELS, it said my top bid was $137. CRAP!!!  But I calmed down. CHARLIE'S ANGELS 2019? Who would want it? And then it bumped up from $7 to $10...and then $10 to $13. Eek!  There was no action after that and it got closer and closer to ending...about a minute to go and then $15. Yikes!  The auction reset to five minutes and started counting down again. It was near zero and then...$19. ARGH!!!! Fortunately it did NOT go higher than that---but I so did NOT mean to buy this for that price. Crap...

THE LOST WORLD OF SINBAD:

I have another copy or two of this floating around. Did I need another? NO! UGH! Why do I always do this? GRR. Anyway, for those who may not know, this film is not really a Sinbad flick. It is a Japanese fantasy that has Sinbad-like qualities, so a distributor (American International Pictures) bought it, redubbed and turned it into a Sinbad story. (A similar thing happened to a non-Sinbad Russian folktale movie, SADKO, that magically transformed into a Sinbad flick and was released here as THE MAGIC VOYAGE OF SINBAD.)

INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS:

I have a couple of copies of this poster. This flick isn't that well known and is certainly low budget,  but I dig it. Fun poster too. Someone also told me that the guy who directed this also played the yeti monster in SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED. Ha! That is too funny.

LIGHTHOUSE and EVIL DEAD (2002 re-release British quad):

While I  am not familiar with LIGHTHOUSE,  I do know THE EVIL DEAD, of course.  So I thought I should get this... But...it's not the most exciting quad ever. Oh well....

GALACTIC GIGOLO:

I stumbled on this cheap poster from an Urban Classics release. Urban Classics is that studio that pumped out films like SLAVEGIRLS FROM BEYOND INFINITY and SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA during the VHS era, with many of their movies, like this one apparently,  getting theatrical releases.  I'd never heard of this title though. Any good?

HIGH VOLTAGE (aka THE ELECTRIC CHAIR):

This is a smaller-sized one sheet, cheaply printed. I'm not sure if this is re-release with a re-titling or an original release with an alternate title. Either way,  I'm delighted to have a piece of cinematic sleaze history.  This film is notorious for its cheapness and exploitation factor. Wish I could track it down and see it. Oooo! Look and ye shall find. Apparently Code Red released this on BluRay a while back and there was one waiting for me uber-cheap on eBay. Fabulous!

HAWK, THE SLAYER (British quad):

I came across this recently but have never seen the movie. I quickly read about it before I bought the poster. It sounds like bad movie paradise.  I snatched it up and am anxious to see the flick. Is it the wondrous crapfest I hope it is? The DVD is on its way to me, so I can find out for myself. Yippie!

DRACULA 3-D:

I already have a bad copy of this poster. It is a bad copy because it got seriously munched in the mail and I've been after one ever since. I've not seen Dario Argento's DRACULA 3D, but I have heard it's no SUSPIRIA. I've actually heard it's crap. BUT it IS an Argento film and, sucker that I am for gimmicks, it's a poster for a 3D film. I'm happy to finally get a nice copy.

FROM BEYOND (Spanish):

A long while back, I accidentally bought a pressbook (instead of a poster) for the Spanish release of FROM BEYOND with this same artwork. At the time, I thought I WAS buying a poster. Oops. I blame it on my lack of understanding of Spanish. But who cares now that I actually DO have the poster? Ha! Wild, way-out art. Freaky cool.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1978 re-release British quad):

Zowie! Just a few weeks (months?) back, I bought one of these that turned out to be a fake reprint. I got a refund from the seller (who later said he had gotten it from T.LocePosters. Duh! Beware!), but I still wanted this particular poster. Lo' and behold...one fell into my lap-o-rama the other evening. Hooray! I trust this one is legit as it is coming from Heritage. Happy birthday, self.

And that is it for now. Nothing super exciting (except I really wanted that NOTLD poster. Hooray!), but... Thanks for joining me for my virtual birthday. I hope you had a swell time. I know I did.

Welcome back to the Shock-O-Rama Poster Show. Tonight's show is about ready to launch. You may want to grab a snack...or maybe something a little stronger? This one is going to be a tough one to sit through. It's a total crap fest. SNORE!

Okay--let's get this done ASAP...

TWO WEEKS IN SEPTEMBER:

My 2nd or 3rd (4th?) Brigitte Bardot poster...and, I'm sorry, but the posters for her films are not that eye catching. Blah.

TEEN VAMP:

I had never heard of this, but the poster was cheap and rolled. I do like the license plate on the car, "BLOODMBL". Clever. The poster kind of makes it look like Archie goes vampire...RIVERDALE meets VAMPIRE DIARIES, perhaps?

SAMSON AND DELILAH (1968 re-release):

Normally I would have passed on a biblical epic poster (snore). However, I think this 1968 re-release poster is trying to ride on the coattails of the HERCULES/peplum/gladiator flicks of the 60s--which I think are a hoot (more or less). Plus it was super cheap so...why not?

BAD CHANNELS (Video):

Oh my stars. Ha! This is a bad (cheesy bad) Charles Band schlockfest from the 80s about an alien (that pile of poop-looking guy under the word "channels") who becomes a DJ at a small town radio station to find women to send back to his planet. Huh? Exactly! MTV original VJ Martha Quinn stars. Yes, this is a video poster. I don't believe this flick ever had a theatrical release (but I may be wrong...).

NETHERWORLD (video):

Yes, this is a video poster. I don't believe this flick ever played theatrically either. I saw this back in the day on VHS. I remember specifically renting this from The Video Zone. Ha! The poster is cool looking. The movie? Not so much... Oh well. It is nostalgia for me (and was cheap--less than $5. Ha!)

THE CRAVING:

This US release poster for one of Paul Naschy's werewolf flick is better known as NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF. I somehow completely missed this release in the early 80s. Did it even play in my town? Probably not. Rolled poster--not bad. (Director Jack Molina is also Naschy).

THE EVICTORS:

I only just recently saw this flick. It was a bonus movie on the 2-disc release of the original THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN (which I also just watched for the first time). Both films (by Charles (THE LEGEND OF BOGEY CREEK) Pierce were good--but not great--with SUNDOWN being the better of the two. Still, when I came across this poster and saw that it was going cheap, I thought why not?

GIDGET:

You are probably shaking you head over this. GIDGET? Really? Yes, really. I am a fan of the Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello BEACH PARTY movie series. If it weren't for the success of GIDGET (the film and the book series), the BEACH PARTY series may never have happened. Sandra Dee stars as the Girl mIDGET (get it?). Cliff Robertson is the Big Kahuna. James Darren is Moondoggy, the only original actor to star in all three films in the GIDGET series. (And, yes, I have posters for GIDGET GOES HAWAIIAN and GIDGET GOES TO ROME). Fun fact--GIDGET is based on a real person, the daughter of novelist Frederick Kohner.

CLASS OF 1999 (video one sheet):

This is a sequel to THE CLASS OF 1984 (from 1982). Yes, it is a video poster. I liked it better than the one sheet (but the European version is way better than this one). This film was kind of TERMINATOR meets ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK in my eye. This poster was also cheap---like most of the other stuff in my post today. I really need to bow out of poster buying for a while (as I had planned before the virus hit). I'm trying to finish this batch o' 10 posters off as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Hence, this video poster and a lot of the other crapola I'm sharing today...

THE WOLF MAN (1962 military re-release):

Wow! WOW! W-O-W!!! Getting any paper on Universal's classic monsters is impossible and totally out of my price range/grasp. Even the re-release stuff is insanely high. The military stuff was more reasonable, but even that is now expensive. I almost had to pass on this, but I was sure I'd never have another chance at this. It was far more than I could afford right now---but I could NOT let it go-go. (Blame it on a full moon, perhaps?) This is my first WOLF MAN anything. Zowie! And what a classic horror cast!?! Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi, Evelyn Ankers, Claude Rains, Ralph Belamy, Maria Duspenskaya. And it's a tri-fold in super condition. This WILL be framed and hanging on my walls ASAP. (Who ever thought anyone could be this excited over a military poster? Ha!)

Thank you for visiting. I will be back with projects and other news, but it will probably be a long while before I'm back with new posters. Stay SAFE!

That's all for now. It's time for me to blast off and get outta here.

Congratulations on the military Wolfman poster, Monster! Very cool.  I forgot Salvador Dali's Gypsy moustache club made an appearance.  Okie

The Salvador Dali's Gypsy Mustache Club member is the real reason I bought this poster. How very astute (ass-toot?) of you to figure that out. Glad you like it.

Stay well, my friend.
