It looks like it bled a lot, too, from those pieces of cloth or cotton, laying under your hand, too, Bob.
Did it look like some "Halloween scene" at your house/carpeting?
Especially with hitting an artery like that (let alone that skin removal).
And i ask too, because i one time went to catch a heavy ceramic bowl that slipped from my hands, in the sink. It broke as i grabbed it, putting a 1" slice in my right middle finger and a small divet was knicked out of my left palm.. and these both bled like crazy--blood on the kitchen counter, sink, in the freezer (I grabbed some ice, before driving myself to the ER)..so it wasnt a pretty sight.
