I've not seen...a lot of things!

Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" or the "Kill Bills"
 Anything by Sam Peckinpah
Most of Stanley Kubrick's flicks (the exceptions being 2001, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut and Dr Strangelove)
 Maltese Falcon
70s hits like Chinatown, French Connection 1 or 2, Shampoo, Sirpico, Dog Day Afternoon
Goonies (my co-workers used to give me grief about that. I actually bought the movie but just have not been able to bring myself to watch it..)

And, this may belong in another topic, but I did NOT like "Batman Begins" (or the Heath Ledger swan song "Dark Knight Rises"), "Iron Man", "Spiderman", etc. so I've avoided all of the sequels. I also was no great fan of the STAR WARS series---all though I saw the first 3 (now parts 4, 5, and 6). When "part 1" came out, it was so awful--I passed on "2 & 3". I am sort of curious to see 4-6's characters today so I may see the new 7, but not holding my breath...

Chinatown is worth watching. Really.

I have never seen Kubrick's 2001 either.

I second Rosa's recommendation of Chinatown.

And with regard to Peckinpah, I don't have unreserved praise for his entire body of work (IMO there are more than a couple duds in there).  But the Wild Bunch is just a masterpiece.  Not just a top Western of all time, but a top movie of all time.

That's east for me... Metropolis and Frankenstein.  I've never found them playing on TV and never found them on a shelf new or used.   Did find King Kong at a used DVD shop and both my daughter and I loved it.

I can't think of any 'movies' that I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen.
But cable TV is another matter.

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen an episode of either Breaking Bad or The Sopranos.
I think its the whole time commitment thing...

I know this is a movies we haven't seen thread, but it is turning a bit TV we haven't seen as well. I have not watched TV in years. I don't even bother having cable. I'm missing most of everything. Never saw SEINFIELD or FRIENDS or really anything that's been a big hit (LOST comes to mind... MODERN FAMILY is a big hit--not seen it. SOPRANOS and BREAKING BAD have already been mentioned). I do buy series on DVD. So I have "caught up" that way. "SIX FEET UNDER" was great. "OZ" was okay, but got to be totally unbelievable and repetative. I just got season 4 of "THE WALKING DEAD" and also about to start watching season 2 of "BATES MOTEL"...but I am really out of the loop on TV stuff). I am curious about "something PINES" (?) that looks a bit like "TWIN PEAKS" maybe? Loved "TWIN PEAKS" and can't wait for the new series--which I'll probably only see on DVD. Ha!

A NEW Twin Peaks?? Oh boy.  :-\

It will never match the creative and brilliant casting of the original series. (imho).  ;D

ARI--I'm not a big sitcom kind of guy, but if I go there, I'll go SEINFIELD.  :-)

JEFF: Yes, a NEW Twin Peaks done David Lynch and Mark Frost (creators of the original) and using many of the original cast. It's 25 years later and, in the Red Room, Laura Palmer told Dale Cooper she'd see him in 25 years...and now that prophecy is coming true!  It will be on Showtime.

me neither, and (sorry) ESPECIALLY American Sit Coms (actually aussie ones are even worse). Seinfeld is something all of its own though (be warned it takes a bit to get right into- and be warned once you are hooked it is addictive).

New Twin peaks, I am intrigued.

With those elements in place.. Frost and Lynch and many of the original cast.. then we might have something here. As well as more haunting score and melody from long time Lynch composer, Angelo Badalamenti!  notworthy.gif
