I would love to see that one. Looked for a copy quickly and came across this. May be parts of it cut up for a display.

I used to have a photo of one on display (in TN maybe?), but not sure what I did with it.
Although the Godzilla art from the 24-sheet was also made available separately as a 9-ft standee, I think Loew's made their own custom display for the premiere in April, 1956.

So is this pic a Godzilla 24 sheet that is on the marquee of that theater? Or parts of one used and then backlit?

No, this is not a 24 sheet.  This is the marquee of a theater playing the film.  This is an elaborate display on a marquee, probably concocted with the assistance of an advertising display company.  No one would use a 24-sheet as a marquee.  Kirby

This weekend I was in Scottsdale AZ at the formal opening of the film poster exhibit there and photographed this 24 sheet for JEREMIAH JOHNSON (1972).  Pretty nice!

One that I, personally, would have loved to have seen in color. But finding this image from the PB alone is a pure treat!

We sold this poster to the Alamo Drafthouse, who used it in their theater at Mueller, Austin.  The photo is from the Austin American-Statesman.

The film is BARQUERO (1970).   It's gobsmacking of Lee VanCleef.  Kirby McDaniel  MovieArt Austin

I'm liking that Van Cleef 24 sheet a lot, Kirby. So simple but but it works so well.

Son Of Dracula (1943) - from the PB.

Another that had to be a wonder to see in color. Pure, created art that was sure to pull an audience in.

I  don't know whether I ever posted this or not, but I sold this at Sothebys in the early 90s.  That's Mike Kaplan standing in front THE DAWN PATROL 24 SHEET.  Mike designed the starchild 2001 poster.  He has a beautiful film poster collection.   Kirby McDaniel   movieart.com

Do you recall how the Dawn Patrol 24 sht was hung up?  It looks so nice and flat against the wall.
