French Posters- 12 x 16 inch (30x40 cm) size
« on: June 22, 2014, 09:54:29 PM »
T,

Was this size poster a popular or standard size printed in France, back in the day?

I found a 30x40 cm example in the French PB, for King Kong:

It has a blank area in the upper left. Used to fill in theater and/or show time info? Almost like a WC or Belgian poster has.

Hey, Aj.. nope, it's not a secondary print.

That little B/W image i posted above is from the original 1933 French pressbook. So that size poster was printed and an available size for theaters to get, if they wanted.
