Is it backed?

Nope, just in really good shape...  Pretty lucky to find it actually.

Here's a rare 40" x 60" for CITIZEN KANE (RR '56.)  Has anyone else come across this version before?

That's a great looking piece, there, Dave.  thumbsup.gif

When did you get it? Was it an ebay buy? other?

If Todd Spoor was a member here, he could flood this thread with stuff that would make many of us  faint2.gif

I once had a customer that collected Clint Eastwood posters and he wanted something big to put up on his walls. He left it up to me to find something appropriate. In an issue of MCW there was a monthly ad from The Movie Gallery (remember them?) and among Marty's list of goodies was a selection of 40x60's from a variety of films which included FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY, and MAGNUM FORCE. I decide to take a chance on MAGNUM FORCE, figuring that it was the cheapest of the Clint's ($40), it was probably the same as the 1-sheet, and if my Clint collector didn't buy it, I wouldn't have much trouble selling it to someone else. I ring up Marty, reserve the poster, and send him a check. A couple of days later UPS delivers a huge tube; I open it, expecting to see a large version of the MAGNUM FORCE 1-sheet, and am floored. It is definitely NOT the same as the 1-sheet. You have probably seen this poster before but in case you haven't, well, you know that one publicity shot you usually see from this movie, the one close-up of Clint from the shoulders up, holding the magnum straight up so the barrel of the gun looks like a cannon? Take that shot, blow it up to 40x60, and that's it. Guaranteed to stop you in your tracks. The "whoa" factor of this poster is astonishing. I call my customer and tell him I have something for him and he says he'll be in on Saturday. Come Saturday I'm laying in wait for him, Clint and howitzer hanging up behind me. He finally comes in, takes one look at it and says "I'll take it!" "But I haven't told you how much it is!" "I don't care!! I WANT that!!" He went home one happy man that day. Today, if you can find one, it's a $700.+ poster and back in the day you could get one for about $150.

I think it's on google images somewhere. I know it's shown in the pressbook. Hell, I wish I had kept it! For what it's worth, MAGNUM FORCE has different images on all the poster sizes; the 1-sheet is different from the insert, which is different from the 22x28, etc.
