« on: April 23, 2014, 05:08:56 PM »
I know this is a REALLY tall order, but my grail piece of paper is a It's a Wonderful Life OS.... but I would settle for the next best thing- a daybill....

does anyone happen to have one  (or a OS/ HS in REALLY bad shape aka more affordable)

Buehler? Buehler? Buehler?

I don't think I have ever encountered any Aussie paper on IAWL...hmmmm

You might want to consider this as a substitute (it looks vintage and would be 'affordable')

or maybe a Belgian?

Hey Brian-

I'm happy to keep me eyes peeled for you, too. Finding hidden gems is actually a lot of fun... especially when it's on someone else's "wish list."  :D

Plus, I LOVE this movie, too.... so all the better.

I appreciate the suggestions Chris... I'm primarily looking for the image of George lifting Mary. It's what I associate to the film...and it was one of my grandfather's favorites. He passed a few years ago and the image still makes me think of him. We'd watch the movie every Thanksgiving and it kicked off the holidays for us. Also, whenever I see that particular image I just have this feel good moment... I don't know how to explain it exactly... It's kind of like watching the end of Rudy- I feel like I can conquer the world and I appreciate everything just a little bit more (until daily stress kicks in.  ;)  )

As an example- (and I know it's not a film poster  :P )
I have this in a hallway that I see EVERY single morning... Walt is my hero and mentor... I admire him and his genius...but most of all his humility... this simple image reminds me that greatness can come from anyone and anywhere and it's a constant reminder... every day seeing this is a nice pick me up for the day to come.

Thanks Jeff! and all!

I know the aussie daybill exists... I confirmed it today with Mr. Reid... sadly, he parted with his years ago.  :'(

That's great motivation Brian!  Hope you can find something with that image then.

We have our ways..... and it may even be in time for Christmas! (And I always shed a few tears when I watch it... no matter how many times I have seen it...)

Good find.  I looked and looked but couldn't come up with a pic for some reason.

It's very nice!  But it's also going to cost a pretty penny if located...

I will be ready! I still have a lot of fantasy art that I can dump at a moment's notice to place into another hobby :)

Keeps the wife off of my back on big splurges when they occur.

There's a later 50s release Argentinean out there too (not as nice in my opinion but still has the imagery)
