What I do not get is why people do not crop/resize their avatars so that you can actually see the whole thing?

Why not get a bigger screen...they look fine on mine

Well bugger me .. I always thought it was due to size limitations on the site .. but if I change that I can see the whole image .. it makes sense now !! It was ME all along!! :P

Is it your pet, Archie, or something you found on the net?

Found, but I knew that it had to be my avatar the instant I came across it...

You must have a really small......screen as all the Avatars I see fully on my 27" imac. Even on a 15 " they are all there. My smallest screen, 13" does what you have posted.

Maybe you just need a bigger one. Biggest is Bestest, you ask Mel. and Steve. ;)

Only problem with that theory Paul is that next to no one expands their browser to full screen like 27" (my screen is 27" too), for one, reading someones comment from left to right across 27" thereabouts is unreadable. My browser is about half that width so I can readily see all other browsers and applications around it on the screen at the same time.

So, what I am trying to say is nearly everyone's avatar is cropped, as near everyone browse's wrong, except me. I browse right.

My laptop has an 18.4" screen and some of the avatars are slightly cut off, though none look like that screenshot.

Oh, and I change mine all the time and throw up whatever I suits me when I get bored with the one I have.

Thanks.  You know what you did.

I do pretty much everything on a 15" laptop .. I'm fairly certain it isn't the physical screen size but the resolution you view everything at. The max resolution on this laptop is 1366x768 and with my browser at 100% that is what I see .. however is I zoom my browser I can get the avatars to show just fine but at that point the text looks like it does on Steves big screen! :P

^ Judging on all that empty space and knowing the size of everyone's Avatar, they would all fit. Not leaving you out!

Notice at the bottom, MPB avatar bit the dust (that was on purpose)

Maybe you need Glasses Fallen?    ;)

I must say Steve, I do almost have my screen over 3/4 of the total screen, it's great to see posters at a larger size. Plus I don't really have more then 3 open at once.. I leave that to you young'uns..

haha .. I do wear glasses !! :P However if I change the zoom level on my browser to 67% I see things like this ..

I can read posts ok, although if it was a long post there may be some eye strain.. but notice the text at the top in the menu bars and all that are virtually unreadable.

I also left hte text in the address bar to give some kinf od perspective to the size of that text vs everything else on the screen.

Sorry its a link .. when I embed the photo it shrunk it.
