Ebay posters
« on: March 06, 2014, 12:48:37 PM »
Hi folks,

New here and been collecting for a few months.  I am looking for "for a few dollars more", and fistful of dollars.  Got a few leads, but decided to look at Ebay.

For a few dollars more
Here is one from Joes226 is a buy now $895.  The stamp says 67/204, but I thought this was a 1965 movie

Another, but from fffmovieposters says VF $725  Seems reasonable

Fistful of dollars note the stamp says 67/24.  I thought this was a 1964 movie

Any thoughts on these offers?  What should I be asking, if I contact them?

I thank you, in advance

The movies came out in 64/65 respectively in Italy, but they weren't released in the US until 1967.

 First, welcome1 to APF, Ba!

FAFDM and Fistful of Dollars-- both were not released in the US until 1967, so the dates and NSS numbers on each US OS is correct.

As far as prices.. you can also check out emovie's archive database on each for what they have sold for in the past, as a barometer of sorts:

Welcome and yes you'd likely do better from a monetary standpoint trying to pick these up at an auction

I guess I might add that I am a member at Heritage and EMoviePoster.  The posters that I want come up more frequently at Heritage, but with BP and all the other things, are more expensive than at EMoviePoster.

BTW, I sent an EBay question to "Fistful" seller:

Dear sramiami,

would you measure the poster and list the measurements please

They replied:

Hi,

As you probably know, a "US ONE SHEET" is about 27'' x 40''. Thanks.

I will skip this one, if they are too lazy to measure it.

Too much.  Way, way too much.

APF Poster Price Police says between $300 and $400 each.  Anything above $500 is ridiculous.

And welcome.
