IIRC there were only 5 ''#9'' cards originally, created by a restorer in SoCal, Jamie Hernandez possibly (but don't quote me). He use to advertise them in Movie Collector's World.  At the 2nd Famous Monsters Convention in LA in what, 1992 or 93, he was selling all five for 100 bucks. They were limited to 200 each I think. I also believe that the WotW was not part of the original deal but came later from some one else (again, no quotes).  The flood of new "#9" cards started a few years back as digital got better* and closer to the original reproductions were possible^.

But the seller is a loon, that you may quote me on.

Close. It was Joe Hernandez.

while these fantasy cards are cool to own, it's one more way that newbies can get taken, just like any other poster reproduction and they should be marked visibly on front or back for exactly what they are to prevent any confusion down the road as the items will outlast all of us.

I have Star Wars hairy belt posters. I would like to sell them, but I don't want them falling into the wrong hands, so I don't sell them

I also have reservations about whether all the ones being sold are actually "original fakes" or later fakes.

Some dealers seem to auction them endlessly and knowing that the original source had sold them out many moons ago makes one wonder how so many are for sale now when the print runs were low to begin with.

They didn't sell the first time and have now been re-listed with a BIN of $345.00 for the pair.

Doesn't look like the buyer left feedback for the Creature from the Black Lagoon LC. Probably disputing it trying to get his/her money back.
