Does anyone know Oliver Brinicombe-Scarr from Printed Originals in the UK? They stole the image of my original 1958 Sunset Boulevard Polish A1.
https://printedoriginals.com/products/sunset-boulevard-polishWhen asked for close-ups of their poster, they sent images of the 1980s reprint on textured paper. I could *almost* forgive them if it was some sort of honest mistake. But when asked why the emailed close-ups did not match the poster on their website, Oliver sent this bullshit response:
"We sourced 2 of these pieces from the same supplier at the same time, and the product image is from the other piece – which has since sold. You are indeed correct about the printing information on the lower left side being absent from the photographed example vs the one photographed for the image. We have reached out to our supplier to enquire about this and I will get back to you should we have any information or if we are able to source another featuring the text in place of this one.”
To be clear, this Oliver chap has never owned my poster. I bought mine more than a decade ago directly from a collector in Poland. They obviously know they are using a stolen image with the hopes of defrauding unsuspecting buyers. Dishonest dealers like this are terrible for the hobby. I guess it’s a quick way to a make a few thousand quid though

Here is my original:

Here is a comparison of our posters. They even took the time to doctor my image -- they cropped the top 1/2" to get rid of the missing corner and a series of small tears along the top, and they colored over the faint tear in the lower center. They apparently
forgot to fix the paper chips on the left margin and touch up the flaws in her hair, which are still visible on both posters:

Here are the photos they sent of the actual poster they will ship you after paying 3850 GBP!

People steal my images all the time and there isn't a whole lot I can do about it so I usually let it slide. But this particular egregious and fraudulent instance really pissed me off. Whatever... I'm sure they consider themselves a good person and that this is all the fault of their "supplier"
