Kirby how do you select those that you present to APF members in this thread?  Is it old stock, or new stock?  Does it work? 

Just curious, as you've been advertising really cool pieces, with good narrative, and not bombarding us with crap. Props to you.  But then again, you're not just a dealer, you're also a member.

I try to pick a variety of things that I think that people on the board might like.  Of course, I don't know what those things are.  I don't know how many people watch this board or where most of them are or what they like especially.  I just try to post things that interest me, and hopefully they will interest others.  Occasionally I sell things from interest generated on the board so that's good for movieart.com.  Unfortunately, I don't have time to follow all the threads.  I do appreciate the fact that this board is well maintained by the folks who run it.  Kirby

THE MEN (1950) First release Italian 79x55.  Four foglio.  Unbacked.

This is not yet available on our website, but I will offer it here as an exclusive for All Poster Forum.  This is, arguably, the best poster on this first film of Brando.  Printed on two panels, the poster is in fine plus condition, with some signs of distress, but good color.  Very rare.  I have not seen this before.  The American posters on this title (we have a half sheet) are remarkably bland.  $950.00 firm, plus all shipping charges is the price for this APF offering.  I think this poster is remarkable.  Nothing else that I have seen on this Fred Zinnemann film approaches the essence of the film like this poster.  Four sheets are large, and for display I think most people would want to have this poster backed.

CLARIFICATION:  We offered this scene card for THE MUMMY'S HAND here on APF.  Please know that we have two examples of this card.  One is on our website.  This card is in lesser condition is we are selling it for $2750.  The card in the post is a near mint card -- in the top condition - and we are offering that card for $4500.  I just wanted to make sure that folks on the board did not think this was the same card.

Who did the backing and any touch ups or restoration on this copy, Kirby?

Mario Cueva of Lumiere Poster Restoration backed this poster.  He told me it was one of the cleanest posters he had ever seen.   I asked him what he did to it, and his reply was "almost nothing."  A little pencil on the folds, a little work on the edges.  My opinion is that finding one better than this would be challenging.  My further opinion is that anyone who rejected this poster because of "condition" is collecting conditions and not posters.
