I think the one that made me most do a double take was Faye Dunaway, even in her hat.

From the current pic, it looks like she might have been at some film-related event, so her makeup person didnt "spruce her up" a bit is beyond me.

There's only so much sprucing up one can do when age (and gravity) are calling the shots.
Its sad seeing them grow old.

Found this clip, which not only shows some of the oldest living actors, but also does so, showing them then and now. Enjoy! cheers

Not sure if enjoy is the right adjective to describe that experience.

Can we nominate other stars for this Hall of Fame? How about Gina Lollobrigida (aged 89)? I am not sure what she currently looks like but she sure was a great looking gal.

I found this little interview from TCM's 2016 film festival, while she was on the red carpet, Martin. Shot in April of this year.

Don't know how you find this stuff.

She looks as good as you can for 89, I guess. Must be hard to let the "glamour" look go and just become a little old lady.

How very sad and tragic. Actress Shelley Duvall, age 67, as she is today, apparently suffering from mental illness and barely recognizable.  :'(

She was interviewed on Dr Phil which aired on Nov 18th.

^ Don't these shows try to make people appear a certain way for added impact... bad clothes and hair

I think I read an interview with a Beauty and Geek contestant and they made the geeks look overly geeky.

I dont think the Phil show had any input on how she appeared. It sounds like he took her to a hospital, too, on his dime, and once there, she refused to sign the necessary paperwork (denied treatment) and wanted to be taken home. Chances are she wanted no one messing with her clothes or hair, either.  :(

Phil McGraw is a repulsive individual.

I agree with Vivian Kubrick and others.

You are putting Shelley Duvall ‘on show’ while she is suffering from a pitiable state of ill health. Unquestionably, this is purely a form of lurid and exploitive entertainment — it’s appallingly cruel.

Shelley Duvall was a movie star … whatever dignity a mere unfortunate creature might have in this world, is denied by your displaying her in this way.

I recoil in complete disgust. I hope others will join me in boycotting your utterly heartless form of entertainment, because it has nothing to do with compassionate healing.

    Sincerely disgusted, Vivian

I agree. She should not have been put "on display" this way. If McGraw had truly wanted to help her in a genuine way, (paying  for the doctor's visit etc), it could all have been done off camera and very quietly.

I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs and rallies back to some degree.  prayer.gif

Nice side by side there of Ms Hepburn, Brandon.

Even back in the day, airbrushing and retouching was the name of the game. Her face is as smooth and blemish-free as alabaster in the b/w photo. Even her gentle smile lines have been "lessened" to the point of being invisible.

I recall a site or set of photos i saw online one time, where someone found and did side by sides of some of the great actresses of yesteryear (Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Myrna Loy etc). It was the same photo, as taken, and then the retouched photo that would have been sent out to magazines etc.

It was amazing to see, for example, how "freckly" actresses Katherine Hepburn & Myrna Loy were.

for someone who is 82 years old and who has allowed herself to age gracefully, applause from me.

The old school "touch up" work is interesting.  Ms. Hepburn certainly looks flawless in those Breakfast at Tiffany's shots.

It appears that there has not been any substantial work to the more recent photo of Ms. Hepburn, in that side-by-side, and that she has truly aged gracefully.

Agree, Brandon. The color photo of Ms Hepburn looks like a shot taken more candidly. And I'm with you on how she aged gracefully and naturally, without the felt need to nip and tuck.  clap clap

Hi Jeff,

I took a look by doing a search for Goldie Hawn 2017.  I couldn't find a shot that was worse than the one you chose.  The majority are a lot better, especially for a woman in her 70's.
try this one instead

or showing how she is aging much better than hubby Kurt

I haven't aged nearly as well at 68.
