Hey Matt, I'm almost sure that it was printed in Hongkong, as indicated by the printer's name under the Golden Harvest mark. It shows “印承司公限有廠刷印生維”, meaning "PRINTED BY WEI SANG PRINTING FACTORY LIMITED". It is a Hongkong-based company and I think the company still exists today. As for which version it is, it is hard to tell just yet. I will try to help looking around, maybe give the printer a call some time ;)

Does the right bottom of the Big Boss show the same printer name?

Thanks wormie!  l'm not sure if the Big Boss has the same printer name as I don't own that poster and that is the best photo I have of it.  However, I would have to assume it's identical.  That same printer name also shows up on the regular release HK posters (link to HA super-size photo of Enter the Dragon).  These particular posters turned up in Japan so that could lend support to the theory that they were printed for export -- probably shortly after their domestic HK release given that the style is so similar.  Maybe they coincided with the release of Way of the Dragon as that was the last movie to be released with the old GH circle logo?

Whilst searching for some Double Crowns, that I still can't find..

I came across this D/C Another I was given when at Cathay Films.
Not a Bruce film, but of the time..

So while in that Draw, took a few others I thought maybe of interest.
If you were there at the time I'm sure you will understand.

And one of Bruce to keep things right.

What is that Paul?

And why shouldn't I let my GF/wife watch Hapkido?  :)

It's a bracelet made from Elephant hair, supposed to be for good luck...?

Hapkido, it's a great line, unfortunately the fight scenes are quite ....tame, so don't worry about the miss's picking up too many tips from the film.. ;)

Are they particularly rare or something?  That seems like A LOT of money!  I could see maybe the HK lobbies bringing that in...

Great stuff Tang!  Love the LP cover -- it should be a poster!  And the 'chucks are way cool.

By the way, no one over the latest acquisition thread seemed to care about this one, but maybe it will get more appreciation here.  I *think* this is a Taiwanese poster, but I'm not positive.  I love the art regardless -- better than the regular HK release I think.

Well if you like yellow jumpsuits... ;)

You prefer your kung fu stars in an alternate color jumpsuit? :)

Yes - preferably in amazing technicolour jumpsuits!

But I guess gold would do as well (but might be a little restrictive?)

"first release style B, a very early HK re-release"

Never seen any style #B for the Lee films , makes me wonder if they could even afford to print a style #B......I doubt they re-issued until '74 , re-issue '73 seems unlikely imo.

(I've seen ads for the re-issues in H.K mags : BB/FoF R74 , WotD R75)

The images are def from the press ad's , unless they're from H.K/Singapore they might've been printed '73 (for example I've got Indonesian Way flyer with white GH logo but since Enters box office is mentioned it's prolly from early '74 as Enter did not premiere in SE Asia until late '73)

Imdb says Enter premiered July 26th , '73......I doubt this very much , it was prolly not released until Oct/Nov '73 in H.K , spring '74 Malaysia (banned in Singapore)

I have seen the Boss before but passed on it as I did not know it's origin and worried about fakes......they could very well be legit though.

Really need to get Hapkido quad......

Thanks for your thoughts Tang. Do you have any insight on the Blue background Game of Death?

I think the Blue back-ground was just  a contrast thing, as it goes well with the yellow of the suit..

Made a slide show of the Way Dec '72 premiere magazine.......

"Love the LP cover -- it should be a poster!"

It *does* exsist as a 1sh too , cept the background is white......personally I'd never buy it unless I could see the paper stock (BB , FoF & Way re-issues are on matte paper & Enter is from the same era so should've similar paper stock......they do have a bit of shine to them up close but far from the shine the glossy fakes got !)

The nunchucks were removed from Enter re-issue quad........
