« on: March 15, 2013, 08:52:25 PM »
Here are some of my favorites:

Dracula's Daughter: "She gives you that weird feeling...."

Blues Brothers: "They'll never get caught. They're on a mission from God."

Dynamite Women: "Make a date to detonate...."

Jaws 2: "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...."

Blonde Ice: "Ice in her veins, icicles in her heart...."

Maybe my favorite tagline:  Butch Cassidy: "Not that it matters but most of it is true."

Doom Generation: "Sex. Mayhem. Whatever."

White Zombie (1932 US 6S): "SHE WAS NOT ALIVE ... NOR DEAD.... Just a...."

Witty signature goes here.

As soon as I added that Drive poster, I knew I should've included the No Country for Old Men one sheet, since they use the same tagline.  To give NCFOM credit, they surely invented the saying, many decades ago, and then decided to use it in their advertising campaign.  It's a reverse time travel dealio.  :P

Of course not, but they did win best picture.  It was kind of a bid deal.  If your business is marketing movies and that is the best you can come up with only 4 years later, you are idiots at best, hacks at worst.

There may have been other reasons for them using that line, but I can see why you would say that.   8)

A similar tagline appeared on this Traffic poster which predates No Country For Old Men by 7 years.

Now this is getting ridiculous.  As if I needed another reason to be upset with the lack of creativity in hollywoodland.  Thanks for posting Mark.
