Great sleuthing, Crow!  Wonder what they cost originally to make? Some good local painters.  Okie

These are some AMAZING looking standees.

As well as what is (possibly) a locally produced 3 sheet in the frame, in the back left, of the Nurse standee!!  thumbsup.gif

Im sure the top piece over the lobby doors had incredible color, too. Incredible!!

Do any APF member's local theatres still do great displays like this?  The closest I've seen was in the ultra modern theatres in Bangkok where some displays were quite impressive (e.g. full size Iron Man armour displayed alongside huge cardboard displays and gimmicks for sale at the snack bar).  Okie

Now that NY has digitized their tax collection photos from the late 30s-early 40s, I am sure we will be able to spot tons of posters in action.
A quick search found this great one of the wall outside the Apollo Theatre with 6-sheets of Meet John Doe and The Flame of New Orleans, as well as 3-sheets for Adventures of Captain Marvel and Sky Raiders.

Great news, Crow!  It's great fun to see posters in their native habitat and time.  It's exciting to ponder what we might see...   Okie

Great pictures, Redman!  It was cool to see small Parsons, Kansas, advertisement for Casablanca. That's a really cool Mummy's Tomb larger than life size display, too!  Okie

Russian premiere of Battleship Potemkin in 1926.  All the theater employees were dressed up in navy/sailor outfits and even had posts on the huge battleship prop above the marquee.
