I would like to attempt to change what we call linenbacking to a three word phrase "Conservation, Support, and Restoration"  or CSR for short.

I want it linenbacked!

Oh, you want it "Conserved, Supported, and Restored"

Actually maybe just "Conserved and Supported", so you would like it two thirds linenbacked?

I'll send it to Professor Powers first. I want to be sure before making a pro like Cloutier work on such an endeavor.  ;D

That 'Love before breakfast' with Carole Lombard sporting a 'shiner' is quite extraordinary!

Why am I not surprised Jeff? But you know that I'm a bit of a non-starter in the movie field. So what sort of figure would we be talking about?

Watching the Poltergeist remake tonight made me remember that the original had posters in the movie.

First is a rolled Alien

Star Wars Style A one sheet, third printing

In the scene where the tree decides kids are tasty the poster is destroyed  :(

The Buenos Aires branch of Harrods used to decorate their storefront with sets of movie scenes, with mannequins dressed as the movie stars.
Here's one for "Gone with the wind" displaying some original LCs

How was the remake?  I heard it was dreadful.  Such a shame.

I had high hopes going in and all I can say is watch the original. The new one lacks any character building, suspense or any need for imagination from the audience. There were actually underage kids that should have been scared shitless in the theater all laughing through the whole thing thinking it was a comedy.

What I can say is next month Jaws, the original with the awe inspiring Bruce biting people in half, will be re-released in theaters for two days June 21st and June 24th. I think I will see that happily while forgetting that I wasted 2+ hours of my life on this sad remake.

And why remake something like this anyhow? It would always be compared to the original, I would think. (better fx or not).  :-\

Zelda thinks so, too.  ;D
