Swedish Film Posters
« on: February 19, 2013, 02:17:38 PM »
Sweden has produced many wonderful and colorful posters over the years, with art done by those such as Erik Rohman.

Here are a few, to start, that have caught my eye, over time:

The Whole Town's Talking (Columbia, 1935); one sheet

The Tomboy (Franco London Films, 1936)

Words and Music (Fox, 1929)

The Woman From Hell (Fox, 1929)

Where East Is East (MGM, 1929)

Frankenstein (Universal, 1931)

Jeff, this is such a great thread. Great Posters. BUT, BUT

I AM SORRY, BUT I ABSOLUTELY HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE IT- CANNOT STAND THIS POSTER OMG IT IS SO UGLY.

........(...)....

Did I sound remotely convincing? Did I? Fredric March, this film is one of my all time favourites. I think I have watched this like 899-980 times.

10+ Jeff.

Very nice! I could post some Swedish posters too but they would be far less respectable...

Do it.
Ain't nothing quite as entertaining as your stash.

In the meantime, I'll take one of these, please.

Crack-Up (1936)

First thing I thought of when I saw this was, 'this was the inspiration for the intro of Bioshock'. Very cool.
