Why can't you post html here (or am I incredibly stupid and you already can)?

This site doesn't accept posts containing html directly, as EVERY other site does! If I want to post anything with html I have to manually put in all the html, which is very tedious!

Is there not some setting that would let me paste html in here and have it view correctly? Every other forum has that.

I will feel REALLY stupid if it turns out there already IS a way! But I would love to know what it is!

Don't know, perhaps it's allergic
I think it's something that can be turned on.
