I have another question for you, ADZ.  What is the point of you?  I am still scratching my head on this one.  A so called Bond collector.  Whatever.  Nothing to really gloat about.  A lost soul desperately in need of some kind of recognition...  Any recognition, really.  That, I do see.

One thing I was wondering today is whether you guys are keeping any kind of backups of the forum database? It'd be a nightmare if something happened to the server on which the forum is stored and everything (all historical threads etc) were to be lost. Do the hosting company offer guaranteed backups or is that on you guys?

The site is hosted by OLI Forum Hosting.  They are stable and they conduct backups of all the forums they host.  I have no worry about it .... But, I know enough to be worried about the unforeseeable.

I've been on here about a month and I dig it like a garden.. That being said, here are some improvements I think can be made?


I may be wrong, but I think you can only edit a post once. I wish that was unlimited..

As I said once before, I wish that the actual "sellers to avoid" thread could be shown on the 1st page of the thread. If it's possible to edit a post multiple times, I think it would be tremendously helpful if a Mod could make 1 stickied post, and everytime someone listed a name on .. say page 12 .. it could get added to the first post of the page, along with a page number for details. (something like 'ebay id'+issues+page number+accuser+# of people in agreement+number of dissenters)

EG-- 'Srslyreelposters' - 'sells known fakes' - page 4 - eatbrie - 3* - none
                                 'sold me a fake ESB' - page 2 - ddilts
                                 etc etc
       'fakeebay123' - 'horrrrible shipper' - page 13 - holiday - 1* - none



That lone critique aside, I've learned an incredible amount in just one month. Easily 90% of the information I gained has stemmed from links on this forum, which has been invaluable. The majority of contributors here are extremely courteous and helpful, even if some of what they say goes over my head occasionally (for lack of lexicon comprehension).

Fight, you can edit a post multiple times. But there is a time limit. Once past, the edit function is removed. Holiday or T can tell you that time window.
