Yes - unfortunately I was tricked into posing for a self-portrait and then encased in wax!  You'd think Vincent Price was there too...

Attention Poster Nerds:

I believe this is the best image of the Mummy three sheet available on the Internet.  (I took a picture from Hammett's book, resized it to correct proportions, and removed Hammett's hand and guitar in Photoshop. Obviously my recreation of the covered space on the poster does not exactly match the original but I gave it my best "guess").

Now who can win eternal poster nerd glory and tell me WHERE this three sheet was found?

Yep that image is of the other style one sheet which is glued to a board - see all the discolouration?

It has its own adventurous story to go along with it in the book...

Yes, Hammett's book has been out a while, but I just happened to trip across this vid he made, back in 2012, most likely as the book was hitting the market. A GREAT companion piece to to the book, and to listen (and see) how it all came together. Let alone the posters and other pieces he has in his collection.  cool1

yeah I had a booth but was unable to attend
they'll roll me over to the next show as they were able to resell my booth.

my understanding is that they had lots of attendees and it was lots of fun, according to my good buddy Bill.

I'll be there next year for sure

Another book from him would be cool.

I was wondering if Mr. Johnny Ramone had any posters, and found this article.

http://movieposters.ha.com/heritage-auctions-press-releases-and-news/johnny-ramone-s-legendary-movie-poster-collection-to-be-auctioned-in-dallas.s?releaseId=728

Ramone, co-founder the Ramones and guiding force behind the punk rock band movement, died recently at the age of 55 and left a world-class collection of original movie posters...'Included in this wonderful collection are some of the greatest posters from top genres,' said Grey Smith, Heritage's director of Vintage Poster sales. 'Such classics as 'Frankenstein', 'Bride of Frankenstein',' and 'Dracula' are included in this group from the famous Universal horror series. These are the most sought after titles in the entire poster-collecting hobby.

It's impressive how much classic stuff Mr. Ramone acquired.  Maybe there are some more cool photos on the internet.

The Ramones were one of the best.  I was lucky to see them at a rad show in the 90s.  So much energy, and right when they got done with one song, the bassist, Dee Dee Ramone, would yell "1-2-3-4!" and they would start the next song.  Good times.  8)

You know it, Brandon. The Ramones were awesome...

As you mention, it would be great to find others from his collection online. HA, too, may have specified those, in their descriptions, similar to those indicated as being from the Nick Cage Collection or the Berwick Collection.

There's a lot of pics of his collection of signed stills in an issue of Psychotronic Video Magazine. Can't remember wich issue now. I'll check when I get home.

Linda, his wife, had a site somewhere, forgot what it was called, with his stuff. I managed to get a halfsheet for Rocketship X-M and a lobby card for The Werewolf from his collection. Of course I wanted the FREAKS pinhead lobbycards, but they proved to be too desirable. In the great Ramones-documentary END OF THE CENTURY there are a few interview clips with Johnny in front of his wall of lobbies including FREAKS with Linda out of shot commenting on Johnny's reminiscings of his troubles with Joey - Linda used to be Joey's girlfriend-. Great stuff.
